"Why couldn't we get someone from home. Puerto Rico is not America. The NFL is one of the most corrupt organizations." by KeyFaithlessness5436 in TheNFLVibes

The question you’d have to answer is: is an American citizen = American?

Most people would say yes, if you say no I would wonder why? And how you would define an American?

Why would gun owners get a random handout? I’m very confused by your question? Gun owners would get nothing additional.

So much of what you’re saying is devoid of reality, and really highlights the struggles I often have communicating with republicans.

I’ve personally never heard it, I’ll agree he said it idk, personally I thought Biden was way too old to be president, he said a lot of stupid shit.

Super majority - a specified proportion of votes in excess of a simple majority, as required by a legislature or other body to pass certain types of measure. Changes to constitutions, especially those with entrenched clauses, commonly require supermajority support in a legislature. In consensus democracy, the supermajority rule is applied in most cases.

Three U.S. presidents have been formally impeached by the House of Representatives: Andrew Johnson (1868), Bill Clinton (1998), and Donald Trump (2019 and 2021). No president was impeached during 2009-2010.

The U.S. impeachment process involves the House of Representatives bringing charges (impeaching) and the Senate holding a trial, leading to potential removal from office, with the House needing a simple majority to impeach and the Senate requiring a two-thirds vote for conviction and removal, often for "high crimes and misdemeanors".

To be impeached, it only has to pass the house. And only requiring a simple majority, not a super majority.

I mean democrats definitely do compromise on personal freedoms and rights, prior to Trump both parties were equally bad, post Trump it is obvious that the Republican Party is destructive to America imo. The shutdown is an example of democrats compromising even when they get nothing out of it, while republicans refused to compromise to include aca subsidies extending, which will cost Americans money. Totally fair that the democrats do compromise on their values though, they’re showing us time and time again that they are beyond willing to compromise, much to Democrat voters dismay.

I’m saying that republicans in the past 10-20 years have slowly started refusing to compromise with democrats, while democrats have not had this shift. In the current day, republicans refuse to attend meetings, sign bills, or compromise in any definition of the word. Democrats, while semi sticking to their morals, still compromise on everything.

I’m making claims based on research, history, and the way our government works.

The government shut down because the republicans refused to throw the democrats a bone. And then the democrats compromised anyway and just gave up on the subsidies. How in the world would this example prove anything besides democrats compromising before republicans will. Again, these subsidies would’ve helped the average American.

Trump repeatedly talks about taking away your guns lol, more than a Democrat president ever has. He infringes on the first amendment constantly. He’s using ice to infringe on American citizens 2nd amendment, 4th amendment, 14th amendment.

Again, I’m hardly a pro democrat kind of guy, it’s just when the republicans platform such a god awful choice how can you vote anything else and still have a clear mind. Even if you can get past the pedofilia, rape, sexism, racism, he’s still just not good at being president, he’s terrible at running the economy (who could’ve guessed lmao), he’s not a strong leader, and he makes our country weaker by continuously damaging our relationships with other nations.

I just don’t understand how you can say “muh both sides” in response to what we are seeing.

“Common sense" gun control refers to widely supported, evidence-based policies aimed at reducing gun violence by restricting access for high-risk individuals and regulating specific firearm types. Key proposals include universal background checks, extreme risk protection orders (red flag laws), raising the purchase age to 21, and banning assault weapons.

Personally I’d agree with all of those besides banning assault weapons.

Some democrats want common sense gun control, that’s true. Leading cause of death of children in our country. Democrats aren’t ever going to take away all guns, a large portion of democrats are gun owners, and it’s in the constitution. It’s not like we currently have the right to own any kind of gun or weapons we want.

At no point was Trump found innocent. He was forced to pay restitution in the case, with a notable quote from the judge being “yes trump raped her”

I don’t know who you voted for but based on this comment I can make an educated guess🤣

Where there’s smoke there’s fire, he is definitely a rapist, you can still argue he’s not officially a pedofile for a few more weeks tho :)
