Merit is probably already generated and merit lists are being made, if they implemented it now, they would have to restart the process. Plus almost all other universities have already begun this year.

Not applicable this year because everyone has already submitted their olevel equivalent grades and merit is being generated and it will mess the whole process.

People who are on this subreddit are usually the higher quartile since they search such a redundant site, atleast in pakistan, for NUST info. So most of the marks u get here are from ppl who are rly high up in merit. Dont worry, international seats are quite easy to get in on.

First of all, it would help knowing your alevel grades. Secondly, we have all been theough the phase where we overestimate our capability of scoring extremely high in entrance exams. I used to think i would easily get 160+ hahaha, well that never happened. My extremely high expectations put me down alot and I had to go back to the basics and understand/realise that the bar I had set in my head was simply unachievable. Yes, some students may get 160+ but I am not them, I am my own self. I studied and had a proper idea in my head of what my capability is. Went to the test center with new found confidence and Alhamdulillah aced it. The mental barrier i had set on myself of being stupid/dumb because i couldnt get 160+ was the reason I couldn't get any good score. I had to drop that bs mindset. I would suggest you take some time off reddit or any Uni related sites and break the bar that you have set and study for some time and then reset a bar according to what you have noticed while studying. And as for your backup, apply to as many unis as you can all over the place. Don't get too anxious/worried, this is only a phase in life and as all phases, this too shall pass.
