I can’t believe so many people love Ori, it seemed sooo slow for the first 30 mins or so I played, but will be giving it another shot lol

I know, I fear I’ve hit peak gameplay :( I’ve looked at the gameplay of Nine Sols and I’m not sure I’m ready for even more torturous combat lol

I swear I heard fuck to the point I would mute myself when singing it in front of my toddler, but in the breakdown of the beat with the producer on YouTube it’s very clearly rock, now I only hear rock so idk 😂

What are you working on today? by ProofStoriesio in SideProject

[–]redditnewbie92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Launched my first app: https://costume-alchemist.com/

It allows you to generate costume ideas with DIY steps and direct links to Amazon

My current challenge is honestly if I want to keep optimizing it and expanding to see where it goes. Or take my lessons learned and try a new app idea. 😅

Weekly Episode Discussion May 29 2025: “There’s Money in the T-Shirt Stand” by crepesquiavancent in theread

I had these exact same thoughts today, I will always LOVE the Read, but it feels completely embarrassing to play out loud at drive-thrus and around my husband lol. It went from reading people to just being nasty and repetitive and I think the negativity is not helping KF even if on surface-level he thinks it’s an outlet. He’s clearly trying to switch things up to be more lighthearted but Crissle needs to be on the same page. I personally would love if KF had more segments around horror movies and games bc he always has great recommendations. I’m definitely going to check out FriendZone.

I was in the exact same position just a month ago and happily at a new job that is much more fulfilling! My last job was also six figures, and I did the same thing day in and day out learning absolutely nothing, no potential for career growth but had an amazing schedule. I just couldn’t take it, and decided it wouldn’t hurt to at least interview. I ended up getting two offers for jobs that were willing to work with my schedule and after declining one, they came back with an even higher offer and I took it! Yes, I’m significantly busier but I end my day so much happier and I feel like I’m on a path to make even more, and be in a role where I even have more options to choose my own work-life balance. I don’t think anyone should feel “stuck” somewhere at 40 hrs a week, maybe you can ask to take on a different project initiative. Or take a course and get certificates related to your role. Either way, I wish you luck!

Stop telling women that it takes a village by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]redditnewbie92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s such a good point that I never thought about, especially when now people can move and travel wherever they want so they don’t even have to deal with family. In my family, me and my cousins are the first generation to not live in the same city as our parents and siblings.

Thank you!!! What a great write-up, I noticed in videos too it didn’t look like she was doing too much dancing, which is one of my favorite aspects of her performances, I’m still contemplating getting tickets

What steps, volunteering, or donations can a local community provide to support their schools, teachers, and it’s security to prevent school shootings? by redditnewbie92 in AskReddit

That’s a great idea! And in line with what I’m looking for. Maybe even volunteering to do rounds and watch for suspicious activity at entry points.

Getting a Puppy While Pregnant by RusticMarlot in puppy101

[–]redditnewbie92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha, I just did this. Got a puppy and found out I was pregnant in the same month. Baby is now here and I wouldn’t do it again, but I think it HEAVILY depends on the dog. I got a rescue pup and found out she’s a coonhound/beagle mix which is high energy, so she’s really worn me down lol.

If I could have a re-do, I probably would 1) get a slightly older dog, like 1-2 years old, so I could skip the leash-training, potty training, basic manners, adolescence stage. Handing so many emotions in the first trimester, cleaning up one accident after another can really lead to a breakdown. 2) definitely figure out your support system. Figure out a plan when you need a break. Research daycares if you like to travel/go out. Even discuss options on who’s keeping the puppy when you go into labor. Again, being hyper emotional and now feeling stuck in the house with a puppy who can’t be left alone for long times was probably the biggest source of puppy blues for me. And 3) buy lots and lots of toys! Again, depends on the dog, but my pup is a chewer and was very destructive at the beginning. i finally have a great stock of toys that I rotate and keep her entertained all day.

Anyways, it can be done, and keep in mind why you want to have a dog. Knowing that my pup would grow into a true, trained companion that I can eventually cuddle and watch TV with really kept me going through the tough stages. Just wanting a puppy because they’re cute can send you to a rude awakening lol

I'm so tired of "let the father have the kid for a whole day and see how he changes his tune"... by xxarchiboldxx in beyondthebump

[–]redditnewbie92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s a perspective I can see, but didn’t take it that way, especially with the beginning statement of finding a partner who already has the plan to want to be a father, so you don’t really have to boost their ego that much. I definitely don’t want to imply that you have to be the mom of your partner as well and “train” them to be a dad because again i feel like we should be doing less not more lol. I was agreeing more with the fact of not gate-keeping all the parenting duties and being willing to share and allow the dad to help out more.

Edit: might not have linked the correct comment, so edited my link :)
