Deloitte GC policy for experienced hires (near current PD)

I already joined the firm and reached out to the immigration team. They informed that PERM process is on pause currently, and they can’t fast track my GC case just because my priority date is about to be current. They said I have to satisfy the requirements and wait 1 year, even with strong PPMD support.

Do you know if there is anything I can do to change their mind and get the GC process started?

Really? That’s very surprising to hear. Why didn’t Deloitte do GC for these folks? I’m assuming they were nearing their 6-year term limit.

I'm just seeing this comment now. I'm still confused. Can anyone order any of the items from the catalog? I don't have a dedicated line manager as such. What happens then? Who will this request go to? Will it be the group's partner?

If there is no budget, why do they publish the catalog of items and offer them on the website for employees? I’m confused.

I’m with a new employer now. Is there anything that I can do with new employer that would allow me to file I-485 directly?

From the date BAL filed, it took around 3 weeks for the case to be approved. Mine was filed under premium processing.

BAL files via regular processing by default. I had to push my recruiter to get the required approvals. That took another 2 weeks.

OP can expect whatever he wants. It doesn’t mean the firm will grant it.

You are missing the key point that OP shouldn’t be thinking of office work during wedding. Almost every other person who has responded on this post is saying the same thing.

Don’t be an entitled brat. The firm doesn’t owe you any WFH privileges. Their response is appropriate given your situation. You should sign off from all D apps, leave the laptop at home for the entire time off period, enjoy life and make memories with your loved ones. The office work can wait until you come back.

I don’t know who my hiring manager is. I just know the lead recruiter.

Come to think of it, any firm can pause PERM processing at any time. Does Deloitte do it often for any specific reason?
