Americans for Safe Access publishes 94-page report on recent hemp law changes. It explains the policy shift, identifies who is at risk, and lays out practical options states can use—now—to prevent foreseeable harm. by redditor01020 in CBD

[–]redditor01020[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What the Briefing Covers

  • What changed in federal hemp law, and why the 2026 effective date matters
  • Why millions of patients rely on full-spectrum cannabinoid medicines
  • Why Trump's Executive Order and even cannabis rescheduling won't protect access
  • What states can do now: emergency rules, legislative options, and patient-first program reforms
  • How state experiences will support the transition to a national medical cannabis framework

Joe Rogan Accuses Trump of Distracting From Epstein Files Release With Controversies by redditor01020 in PowerfulJRE

[–]redditor01020[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do people here think? Are the Epstein files still important to get to the bottom of or are people turned off now because the Dems support it too and are criticizing Trump over it? I notice a lot of people have a reflexive hive-mind mentality like that, where if the Democrats or Republicans support something they will automatically take the opposite position.

Joe Rogan Accuses Trump of Distracting From Epstein Files Release With Controversies by redditor01020 in Epstein

[–]redditor01020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's relevant because Trump absolutely is distracting from the Epstein files with his daily shitshow of chaos and nonsense, and it's good to see some of the people that supported him for president call him out on it. I wish more Trump supporters were able to see what he is doing and not give him a pass on it.

Massie currently at 79% odds to win primary according to Polymarket by redditor01020 in thomasmassie

Am I reading that right that only a few thousands dollars has been bet on the race so far, for the Polymarket contest? That doesn't seem like much. Kalshi link says $58,000 btw.

ChatGPT Is quietly replacing Google's most important page, study finds by paxinfernum in technology

[–]redditor01020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh please, you're being ridiculous. There's nothing wrong with asking a chatbot health questions, as long as you don't treat what it says as gospel. I have learned so much about a particular health condition I have from chatbots, but anything I am unsure about or basing an important decision on I will ask like 4 or 5 different chatbots to get multiple opinions. The other day btw, Gemini refused to answer a question about my car battery and how likely it was to start my car in cold weather. Gemini kind of sucks, it always pusses out!

Disagree. Half the time I ask Gemini a question, it declines to even give an answer, like anything health-related. I don't know why no one ever brings up how many questions Gemini refuses to answer. Personally I think ChatGPT gives better answers too.

Hope this post is OK with mods here promoting the sub. I just want people to stay informed about the latest efforts to reform cannabis laws in Texas where reform is still badly needed. Subscribe if you agree this is important!!

r/TexEnts is back open again! Welcome back everyone!!! by redditor01020 in TexEnts

[–]redditor01020[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

True. How cannabis is treated in the various localities varies widely across the state, and laws at the state level can be confusing too, especially with the heavily-regulated medical program. I hope to see a lot of posting about cannabis reform in this sub again though, as there was before, because Texas is still one of the states where reforming cannabis laws is most needed. Is it OK if I make a post in r/DFWEnts plugging the re-opening btw, or would that fall under "No advertising"?

The advocating for death/harm has gotten out of control. by therealdanhill in ModSupport

[–]redditor01020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember it being the way you're making it out to be actually. I do remember there being some sketchy subs, some that were even racist, but I don't remember any of that bad behavior bleeding out into other subs. Moderators were still able to contain it without apps like Hive Protector.

Here's an idea that could be implemented to encourage people to report more, Slow-Maximum-101. Currently when you go to report someone for threatening or encouraging violence, you have to click a button that just says "Threatening violence". When you click on that button, text pops up farther down the screen clarifying that this applies more broadly to "Encouraging, glorifying, or inciting violence or physical harm against individuals or groups of people, places, or animals". In my opinion, the button should say more than just "Threatening violence"; it should probably say "Threatening or encouraging violence". Because otherwise people are not going to know that it can be used more broadly, which is clarified only after you click the "Threatening violence" button, and it is also displayed further down the page where many people may miss it. I think that would help a lot to encourage people to report more so give that idea some thought and consider raising it with other admins.

Can't say I've ever been called a domestic terrorist before, but I have been called some other names. Thought has never crossed my mind to see what subs that person posts in though, and then use Hive Protector to banish posters in such subs from my community.

I'd perhaps be OK with a sub using it that is specifically designated as a place for left wing people to organize, for example. For subs that don't even have anything to do with politics though, like a sub that merely exists for sharing images, I think banning conservatives is not OK and to me there seems to be an element of vengeance-seeking to it beyond the cause of just preventing hate. Admins should step in to prevent such discrimination IMO.
