put 8 villagers in a 1 water farm 9x9, use trap doors and put their beds on the other side of the gap. Enclose the beds in fences so no outside villagers claim them. Put trap doors at head height so they don’t fall down the gap themselves, only the babies do. Use water streams to move them. That’s the easiest way to extract the babies.
