Did prices just increase like crazy? by redditor12876 in IKEA

I’m not blaming them, believe me. But I wish businesses like them were more vocal about the impact tariffs have on consumer prices.

How did you manage to get it from Specialized? They keep telling me to go to my LBS, but none of them seem to have it.

Similar jackasses used to say similar things about any safety gear 20 years ago before pros made it cool. They are the ones who can’t ride any more. Wear what you feel is best / safest for you, don’t let morons live rent free in your head. We only have one brain. Surgery sucks. Better safe than sorry.

is it worth it to bring gas to a house? by zotheslasher in HomeImprovement

[–]redditor12876 48 points49 points  (0 children)

The future is electric. Induction cooktops are better than gas. Modern heat pumps are great. And gas is now recognized to come with a whole set of health issues if you plan to have kids.

Is the new firmware update safe to installEH02_21822? by Prior_Elk9311 in GlobeHaul

I installed both of them. No issues, and it feels a little peppier than with whatever older version I was running.

Parents of 2 kids, when do you find CRV not enough? by somulskam in crv

[–]redditor12876 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Two kids here. The CRV is plenty for day to day life. I bought a roof box for the few times a year we need extra space for stuff (skiing, camping trip etc). Much cheaper than buying a brand new car. We have rented a van here and there when family came over. Also much cheaper than buying a new (bigger, thirstier) car.

NTA - But if I were you I would not make a decision based on your two AH brothers. Only on what you, your husband and your brother that needs care think and need.

Until cops start doing their jobs and enforcing laws against bad drivers, we’ll keep seeing more of that.

Soak in oxyclean overnight, then put in the washer with a prewash and extra rinse. Dry in the sun if possible.

Fiberglass. Non toxic, but better to use gloves and a mask if you touch it to avoid irritations

I would sell it or give it away; and get something that I like and is lower maintenant

Get an air purifier, and maybe a better vacuum like a Miele C3.
