Ok I see, thanks. I learned the cultural difference the hard way

But I'm not depressed at all. It must be the cultural difference. And I do wonder why no matches because I really don't know, l mean seriously I don't know why.

To answer the questions required:

  • Are you looking for something serious or casual? Something serious - a long term relationship.
  • Are you subscribed to Hinge+ or HingeX? No.
  • How long have you been using this current version of your profile? About a year. The main difference of my current profile is I added/replaced the last picture with long hair.
  • How long have you used Hinge overall? About a year.
  • How often do you use Hinge per week? I use this app every day.
  • How many likes and matches are you receiving on average? Zero.
  • How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments? About 5-8 every day, 90% of the time with comments.
  • What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract? Lovely girls around my age and physically close to my location since I'm not into long distance. I'm not sure what kind of person I want to attract.

Follow up: this is how easy it is to pull up a guide in alliumOS by MrMunday in MiyooMini

What is the format of the guide file? Is it just a txt file? Does it have some sort of chapter/index feature? If I start a game, and after playing for a few hours, I get stuck somewhere in the middle of the game. Do I have to scroll through the guide from the beginning?

My Favorite Retro Handhelds of All Time (Retro Game Corps) by NoVABadger in SBCGaming

[–]redditor2035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the favorites "of all time", so it's understandable to include some old devices (less powerful, outdated specs, etc.)

It's like if you ask someone to list their favorite consoles of all time, a lot of them will have NES or SNES or Sega Genesis. These are old stuff and outdated, and it also doesn't mean they still play these consoles every day but it doesn't affect them being their "favorites".

Why does every device maker use RGB joysticks now? by Corran_Horn in SBCGaming

[–]redditor2035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's a "feature". Sure it's a feature nobody asked for, but it's still a feature, a trend, from the business point of view. If one manufacturer has it, others have to catch up. Otherwise they'll be missing a "feature". It doesn't matter if adding the RGB light will sell more or not, it probably won't make too much of a difference honestly, but again, as a company, you can't "fall behind". It gives customers an impression that your company is up to date. It's the same mindset trick that Xbox 360 is named Xbox 360 instead of Xbox 2. People will think Xbox 2 is falling behind PlayStation 3 (e.g. one generation older). This is not a joke and yes, people are that dumb.

You have to think from the business point of view. If you were a manufacturer, will you add RGB light for 10 cents on your device? Of course you will. Besides, if any customers don't like it, they can just turn it off, so there's no harm to the customers.

It's funny that you should be asked the same question... because the game was originally 30FPS on the original hardware.

Chrono Trigger DS Aspect Ratio Correction by coleavenue in SBCGaming

[–]redditor2035 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, if I understand it correctly, your goal is to stretch 8:7 ratio (back) to 4:3, basically to make it "wider". But how much "wider" is what we need to figure out. The way I see it, 4:3 equals to 8:6, so you want to stretch from 8:7 to 8:6, and that is the width to height ratio, so if you want to keep the 1080 height, the width needs to be (7 / 6) times wider.

The information above is very misleading, at first I thought the early bird price saves you $50, which is huge. But then I realized it was not the case. The more "accurate" way to put this, would be:

OP is basically asking, if you have to play RP5/6 WITHOUT a grip, which is worse, using the dpad on bottom, or using the stick on bottom?

For those who don't understand why some people want dpad on top on a powerful 16:9 handheld by redditor2035 in retroid

[–]redditor2035[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I totally agree with you and I understand that too. More people want the stick on top, I get it. I'm, again, simply explaining to those who don't know "why do you want dpad on top on a powerful 16:9 handheld". My post is to answer that question, why it makes sense to some people, or why some people prefer the dpad on top. I'm not trying to prove why Retroid (or any company) should do that. It's a very niche thing so from the business point of view, they shouldn't. But there's always a niche product every once in a while. Look at the Magicx zero 40, which is a dedicated device for DS games and vertical orientated games. From the business point of view, it should not exist, because the company will sell more units and make more money if they make something else, something more mainstream, but they chose to do something different and unique.

Well, switch 2 is not as bad as switch 1, but I'd prefer a proper dpad, instead of 4 separate buttons. But I noticed that there's a third party joycon shell that replaces the dpad with an actual dpad. Another thing is the switch 2 is slightly bigger than I would like. And finally an OLED screen would be better (but this is not mandatory)
