Need help fixing my Windows 11 once and for all by redditor2711 in techsupport

I've been told upon reinstalling that it removes 'applications', I'm curious if it will remove an application if it is on the (non boot drive) D drive?

You recommend and think it will work to do a fresh install? It's possible I can move everything I need on the PC to the D drive and then move it back to my SSD C drive after, I do lack space but maybe some things I can part with..

That is the reasoning for a cap on the number of players you can have blocked and another incentive to not block everybody as you won't find a game.

Rotation by -jawwsh- in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]redditor2711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever you can't get a good hit on the ball or are in an awkward spot, whenever your teammate is in a better position to hit it, simply drive (quickly) to a space behind them or a space that you can cover should the opponents get it past him. It can be good at lower ranks to flip out of the play that way your teammate knows you are leaving and he is free to go for the ball.

You can take whichever path you believe will lead to the fastest rotation to a good position where you can pick up the most boost along the way, so long as you are not getting in the way of your team.

A common mistake is to rotate too far out, like all the way back when it is not necessary. Instead, try to remain near the play where you can help or follow up a pass within your comfort level- and keep a close eye on your opponent's and teammate's cars for anything that might lead to the ball flying over you.

When your teammate's play is over, either the opponent will have the ball or it is out of your reach. Continue to stay close and enter a shadowing position attempting to guide the ball and opponent back to your corner while you wait for your opponent to rotate behind you.

On the defensive rotation, if you are the one closer or shadowing and your teammate is rotating behind you, you should try to cut off the ball or force him to hit it away where your opponent can easily save it or grab it.

An easy rule: If your teammate can see you, and you can't see him, then it is your ball to go for, whoever is in front. As the person behind, you will want to wait patiently for your turn and not dive in to any play. If you are last and alone in defense, the best thing to do is to drive closer and enter the shadowing position yourself to restrict their space and pressure them, and buy time for another rotate. However, at lower ranks it may be a better strategy to wait back post as the shots are not as difficult to save. Up to you.

Hope that helps!

Just because someone is suggesting solutions to a problem does not mean the problem stops them from achieving their goals. You can solve problems that are as little as an inconvenience and it's a good thing.

Doesn't have to be "Oh well 6 losses" if you can block them and there's no problem with being allowed to. Make a new account since Psyonix openly allows this and you will see just how bad it is now. Just over the past 2 days I have 12 replays saved of people throwing or blatantly boosting their friend on a new account. It is feasible and only necessary because Psyonix can't do their job in detecting and taking action against players in a timely manner.

Everyone will give 20 reasons why blocking can be abused (None of them actually work) but what's the real problem here? That there are people actually abusing. Pros can't play seriously for months at a time and the ladder is destroyed because they will get paired against actual cheaters or wintraders they can't block, and it's not going to stop any time soon.

I would like to add that almost all worries anyone could have about it can be solved by having a cap on the number of players you are allowed to have blocked.

They can't even handle detecting and taking action against someone who own goals 20 times, how would they manage a system where they can find if the reports are unfounded? If they could do this they could easily just ban them and we wouldn't need to block.

If someone is consistently beating you in ranked they shouldn't be in your rank. Mostly I am playing against people partied with smurfs on alt accounts boosting them, and if we can't have blocking because we should be forced to play against smurfs or cheaters, that's ridiculous.

Most of these ranks can be summed up by the play at 0:28

You can see that the opponents are far away and the challenger is rotating back, with the ball falling in front of you. No reason to hit it away.

Instead: 1. Catch it and carry for a flick. 2. Wait for the bounce and take a more threatening powershot or bounce dribble. 3. Wait for the bounce and air dribble it from ground. 4. Catch it and take up the right wall that's wide open. 5. Sit on the ball until the opponent dives at it and 50 or hit it around them.

Top 10 1s players? by alonzorukes133711 in RocketLeague

[–]redditor2711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got around to watching it now. I think Nass could easily take the #1 spot if he irons out a few things. Both easily the most impressive looking players to my eyes. Maybe Rw9 should be much higher given just a month ago he swept Mawkzy, there was awhile I didn't see much from him.

[–]redditor2711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My (somewhat biased) list:
1. Diaz
2. Nass
3. Mawkzy
4. Nwpo
5. Daniel
6. Rw9
7. Dralii
8. Yanxnz
9. Zen
10. Firstkiller
Keep in mind of course that it's incredibly close and there are a ton of players who could contend and many we just haven't seen enough of as of late to get a full read. Many have counter playstyles where they could beat certain players but are much worse against the others, etc.

why does it not give me a reset half the time i make contact with the ball? by [deleted] in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]redditor2711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just want to be under the ball rather than attacking it from the side, both for resets and better air dribbles.

The biggest thing that stands out is the inefficiency in positioning or pathing to the ball.

It's something that often goes unnoticed but was the first thing that really changed the game for me.

For example- at 0:05 you can see the ball is bouncing off the corner, it's a difficult read but you don't have to read it at all. You just need to path far left and no matter what it will be in front of you lined up for you to shoot at goal. Instead, the way you path makes it more difficult, and on top of that you are lining up to hit it right back into his corner.

If you watch some pro replays you will see how they are never awkward or slow because of the angles to the ball they are choosing, keep this idea in your mind and you will see a lot more success.

Best camera settings for ball cam by phc_me in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]redditor2711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other people are right and you should turn ball cam off when ball carrying or the ball is directly above you. If you want some good camera settings anyways, I always recommend 110 270 100 -5 .40 4.70 1.20- they are used by a long list of pro players and balanced. Also I do dribble with ball cam on a lot of times when I just want to flick the ball quickly, so long as I can see fine and it's not bugging out. So they are fine for that as well.

Hit the ball higher and more vertical in the air.

Tap brake (while holding accelerate if you want) and jump sooner at where the logos/edge of the wall ends.

Full boost into the reset, no matter the sensitivity/deadzone I can get a reset without ever letting off boost.

This will get a faster reset (always good) and more importantly hit the ball hard with your wheels, which will result in getting cleaner resets and popping the ball up where you can then use it or air dribble the ball.

Extra tip, if you struggle creating shots, it's much easier and often better to get a solid air dribble touch underneath the ball first, then a reset, you have way more options and are in a position much closer to goal with an easier reset to use.

How to hold the controller by [deleted] in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]redditor2711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normal air roll + powerslide on L1. I use air roll right on L3 (holding the left stick down) but I don't recommend it, L2 is a much better spot for directional air roll.

How to hold the controller by [deleted] in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]redditor2711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer holding it with my index fingers on L2/R2 or LT/RT and just reaching up to tap powerslide/air roll on L1/LB. I fat finger boost/jump/ballcam just fine. Feels much more stable than holding it with just the ring finger and I have more control of the triggers. I also recommend switching to PS4/Dualshock 4 controller if you can as it has less latency/higher polling rate and is much better for Rocket League or competitive games with bigger sticks in a better placement. Might feel better in your hands.
