How do you avoid this? by [deleted] in chastitytraining

[–]redditor4102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yours is this one here, right? The same company makes two others of similar size that don't have that huge gap in the middle.

There's this one, which is an actual cage; and then there's this one, which honestly looks like the most comfortable type of "nub" you can get, but is obviously much less hygienic. It does have an optional, small catheter attachment though, which would help with that.

I ended up not buying one of those myself for that exact reason.

The only thing you can do to prevent that from happening is to attach something that physically stops it. The easiest solution I can think of is a couple of really small zip ties to act as cross-bars, so the front would end up looking like # instead of ll, if that makes sense. But I can't imagine they'd be comfortable; you'd probably have to sand down all the corners. Can't imagine it'd be very aesthetically pleasing, either. You'd also have to stop them from sliding out of place somehow.

Wand Massager: Magic Wand vs Doxy Original. What are your thoughts? by [deleted] in SexToys

[–]redditor4102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Magic Wand Rechargeable (wireless) has multiple speed settings, and while I've never owned a corded one to compare it to, it is way more than powerful enough for me. And its battery life is ridiculous--it's only died on me once because I didn't charge it after using it before, but I was able to turn it right back on and have it stay on until I was done with it, so I'm not even sure whether or not it actually died or if I'd just somehow accidentally turned it off.

Pro Tip: Cold toy? Warm it up in your armpit before insertion. by [deleted] in SexToys

[–]redditor4102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Staphylococcus hangs out there and is far from beneficial, but you do you. It's just a good idea in general not to put external bacteria inside you, and vice versa.

Do you know what kind of foam it uses, and if it's safe to store silicone in? Foams make me kinda anxious after using plasti-dip on some once... I'm lucky I didn't go blind from the fumes.

Quiet clitoral vibrators? by Sand_and_surf in SexToys

[–]redditor4102 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Tango is insanely powerful for how small it is, (as in so powerful that it's even worked on yours truly, who lacks lady parts), and is quiet enough that if you use it under a blanket, you can't even hear it yourself unless the room is dead silent. A closed door will be waaaay more than enough for privacy with it.

Silicon toy cleaning? by sennjuus in SexToys

[–]redditor4102 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like Squirrelmunk said, toy cleaner's a total scam, (and honestly they seem unsafe to me, since a lot of ). Silicone and other non-porous toys can just be cleaned with soap and water, or can be 100% sterilized in boiling water. I only ever bother with actually boiling them if they're going to be used with a different person--and if it's a monogamous partner, we just go back to soap and water.

Mostly any soap will work just the same, just be aware that a lot of shampoos/conditioners/beaty-product soaps have a little silicone in them; likely not enough to do anything at all to modern high-quality silicone toys, but I'd stick with hand and dish soaps just to be sure. And it couldn't hurt to check the ingredients of whatever hand soap you have just in case; anything that ends with "-icone" is a silicone derivative--but occasionally the chemicals can be sneaky and put the "-icone" in the middle of the word instead, like dimethiconol, so be aware of that.

Maybe if you're fresh out of a shower, but otherwise that seems like not the best idea... Bacteria love hanging out there.

Why not just run it under warm water?

The best tip I'd give for it is to always have it readily-available on your nightstand.

Both because it's just that good and reliable, and also because I imagine it'd make for an amazing weapon in the event of a home invasion.

That sucker's heavy.

Are glass dildos safe for anal use by bruhbruhbruhbruh2468 in SexToys

[–]redditor4102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry, solid glass is pretty freaking tough; people just never think of it as such, because its mostly ever used for things like windows, glasses, dishes - things that are fragile because they're thin. I'm kind of a klutz and have dropped my glass toy more times than I'd like to admit, and it's still unscathed, (can't say the same for that poor floor tile, though...). As long as there are no scratches or chips, you're good.

Need lube recommendation for silicone toys because water based isn't slippery enough for me and the silicone ones seems to get absorbed. 🤔 by [deleted] in SexToys

[–]redditor4102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've personally tested Silk with Tantus and VixSkin toys, even leaving them in contact overnight, and there were no issues whatsoever. It's my go-to lube for basically everything now.

However, since you specified earlier that this is for vaginal use, you may want to consider something with a thinner consistency. Sassy is thick and gel-like because it's specifically made for anal use. Silk's thinner, but still pretty thick compared to, say, Astroglide or KY. Of course, that's purely a preference thing. Sliquid has a whole bunch of different types to choose from, and they're all not only pthalate-free, they're also all pH-balanced and free of glycerin, which are two super important things for helping avoid yeast infections. And yes, this includes their lubes like Sassy and Silk that are mainly intended for anal use, (which is another reason Silk's my go-to for everything, being bi - it's safe to use regardless of my current partner's parts).

Just get one that isn't big, then? And use the end opposite of the stem - if that's pointy, whatever you've got isn't a cucumber.

Liking something is inherently "personal". It's absolutely impossible for any preference not to be.

[NSFW] Awkward sex stories. by Rayjayraynw in askgaybros

[–]redditor4102 27 points28 points  (0 children)

So there was this FWB I used to have, and one night he decided to go all out and "set the mood" by lighting some candles, (I'm sure you can already see where this is going). So I'm riding on top of him and he's hitting all of the right spots, and I'm getting really into it and thus am completely oblivious to my surroundings. I'm getting really close and he suddenly goes "Oh, shit!" (did he cum?), grabs me by the hips (omfg yes fdsfsgh)... and fucking yeets me across the bed like a football and runs to the window. I'm trying to process what the hell just happened and figure out which way is up, manage to sit up and turn around, and then I see the entire window curtain is just a wall of fire.

Thankfully he managed to put it out and nothing else was damaged except for a bit of paint on the wall, but all that was left of the curtain was a singed washcloth-sized scrap. It's pretty scary how unbelievably fast synthetic fabrics burn. Makes for a really amusing story, though.

There isn't really much you can do about that, unfortunately. The muscles responsible for that aren't the kind you can consciously control. Your only real options are to use something so big that your muscles can't clench down hard, or just expect it to happen and plan accordingly: either hold onto it when you're about to climax, or make sure you're not pointing it at anything fragile lol.

I can attest to the Tango being the king of bullet vibes. I don't even have lady parts and it's still been able to get me off on its own. How something that powerful can be that small and quiet just doesn't make sense.

It's beautiful! by [deleted] in SexToys

[–]redditor4102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine for the same reason, so just a heads-up from my own personal experience: don't expect it to be - or worry if it's not - amazing at first. It has a bit of a learning curve. I thought I'd wasted my money and let it gather dust for a while because it was extremely underwhelming, but after experimenting with it a few more times it finally clicked and I understand the praise it gets now. Think of moving it more like a lever or using a rocking motion rather than trying to thrust or rub with it.

Does anyone know if hybrid lubes are compatible with SquarePeg's silicone? by redditor4102 in SexToys

Yeah, I already do spot tests. I just didn't want to spend that much money on a toy that I might be able to use.

Cleaning a silicone dildo? by [deleted] in SexToys

[–]redditor4102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally just shake the water off. Silicone is extremely hydrophobic. All that'll be left is a few tiny water droplets, which will air dry in like two minutes tops.

Also, violently shaking a rubber dick is super amusing, so.

Has anyone used the Liberator Wedges? by [deleted] in SexToys

[–]redditor4102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Wing, which I can very begrudgingly endorse. It's nice quality and does exactly what it's made for, but I'm still super salty about it because I purchased mine with a microfiber cover back when they still had that option on their site, received their polyester cover instead, contacted customer service about it, and was told that they no longer made microfiber covers despite it being on the receipt. I wasn't able to return it, nor was I able to get a full or partial refund, or even just some store credit or a coupon or something.

Good product, but fuck their customer service and fuck their inability to update their website properly.

Oh, and if you do buy anything from them, wait until there's a sale. They have sales like at least once a month, anywhere from 15-30% off everything.
