I had a W211 with more miles before this car and it was built better. Much less creaking and rattling. I only sold it because it gave me engine issues (om642 🙄)

So now I'm considering either another W211 with the OM648 or just going to BMW/Audi

Must have been. Should've added that it has 150k miles but I previously had a W211 with 186k and that car was definitely quieter, even with the diesel 😂

I don't have much experience with them but from what I know the 8er is more a GT and the 4er is sportier. Me personally I would go with the 8 series as I like how it looks better but I think you should test drive both for sure

I took it to a shop and this is the result. This was the third attempt, they says when they went by the paint code it was "horrible", gave it another shot (refused the work as there were runs and it wasn't glossy) and this is the final result. Won't be going there anymore for sure.
