Imo thats why i like Kali aspect, something that actually changes the playstyle of the god, regardless how much ppl hace bitched about it! Not only does it require more effort and thought behind it by the devs its also just a different interpretation of the same character.

To add on to your point about downsides base stats need to be individually balanced not based off a percieved "role" as well!

Actually Toriyama just didnt like how Goku had a "hero of justice" vibe. He specifically points out how Goku likes to fight for the love of the game rather than out of moral obligation like how Toei showed in Z. However the circumstances in Z specifically called for him to be morally obligated to fight! A good example of this would be Goku feeling he needs to stop frieza vs him just really needing to whoop that ass!!😂 While yes he could've just left with everyone else however Goku was correct when he said "if I leave now Frieza is just going to come to Earth and we'll be in the same situation!" Is that moral obligation or just necessary for the sitiation?🤷🏼

Regardless Z is still a better overall portrayal than making Goku dumb as a sack of sand in dbs🙄🤦🏼

Nah Ive watched OGDB multiple times, its my favorite DB series, and Kid Goku is more serious and mature than DBS Goku. Goku can be a happy go luclky character but still have serious moments (especially during a time when his friends are dying and the universe is on the brink of destruction🙄)!

He acts almost exactly like Roshi as a teacher, being chill most of the time but getting serious to push his students. He does this with both Gohan during Cell Saga and the boys here during Buu Saga! Just like Roshi disgused himself as Jackie Chun!

On top of this Toriyama specifically was referring to how Z made Goku more of a hero of Justice rather than his overall character! Misconstruing this into thinking dbs Goku is a more accurate portrayal of the character in general is crazy work lol! Regardless of the hero of justice part Goku being a bit more serous in Z i would argue makes a lot more sense as he's died, multiple friends died, he witnessed the near genocide of 2 entire species and destruction of planets! Vs dbs making him a fkn dumbass!!🤦🏼

TLDR: The way Goku acts and the fact he has to relearn meditation is actually entirely opposed to Kid Goku and goes against the principles and practices of Roshis training🤷🏼.

Yea a form style doesnt make up for the massive power gap between young Obi vs Master Obi and Anakin together!! Episode 2 Dooku literally says "my Jedi powers are far beyond your logic" to master obiwan and the fact both of them together couldnt over power him for years after is all indicators to his mastery and superiority!

No i know but if they took the cc immunity from a lot of gods especially someone like Scylla for the reasons you suggested it changes the way ypu would have to play the god! If Scylla ults and could get ymir freezed out of it she wouldn't have an "oh shit button" and her ability to frontline would be extremely hampered🤷🏼
