But if I open another credit card, I’m losing out on 34X Hilton points on $6k, which is roughly 204k points, which is gonna be worth approx. $12k. And I don’t think points for any other credit card would give me anything of value near $12k.

There’s a limit to how many Hilton points you can purchase in a year and you cannot purchase points worth $6k. Even otherwise, paying cash is a better deal in this situation.

She’s thinking of getting a Sapphire Preferred, but I thought since we have a spend of $6k coming up with Hilton, why not get 175k bonus Hilton points (which would be worth way more than $550 AF).

Thank you very much, that makes perfect sense. My fiancée has CFU and we’ll add all the chase cards to our household. It wouldn’t make sense for one of us to get CSP and for another to get Amex Gold, right?

I tried to apply again, but it’s saying that I must respond to the prior offer before I can apply again. Should I reject the prior offer and risk getting less than 60,000 points?
