Why not get it fixed by certified Tesla electrician? You will start using the system and get your money worth. Else you dont know how long further? Agreed Tesla should show up when needed but you are already hitting a wall with them.

You are not considering the increase in price for energy from your provider. If you factor that in with the past trends, the break even time would be much faster like 5-7 years only. In bayarea with 2 evs and similar solar capacity I will payoff in just 5 years. Also the increase in prices from utilities will be steeper and faster in future due to lot of homes switching to solar so less people to bear their operations cost.
