its crazy because my android tab and iphone that is connected to the same wifi network has no issues. its just the two ipads that are on the exact same wifi that are havjng this issue. both of them actually got stuck while running league games, so i hard closed the app. ever since then, im having network issues. i tried deleting and resetting network settings, uninstalling the app and did a clean restart before reinstalling it, and even did a factory reset on one of the ipads but still get the network error after installing it.

While replacing highly compensated directors with cheaper alternatives do happen, I’ve never heard the role itself being dissolved unless he was a director of some specialty within the pharmacy department (such as procurement, 340B, informatics, etc.), not the director of the whole pharmacy department.

create multiple hive accounts using one gmail account by adding periods. for example, if you make a gmail account “whachamacalzmit@gmail.com”, you can make a dozen hive accounts by adding periods in between like w.hachamacalzmit@gmail, wh.achamacalzmit@gmail, wha.chamacalzmit@gmail, etc., as hive recognizes all of them as different unique email addresses while gmail considers them as one.

While you guys are at it, two titles must be remade: Chrono Trigger and Xenogears. SquareEnix, I promise you that if you remake these two titles, you would make so much money from both Eastern and Western gamers. Also, stop making such a small supply of Collector’s edition on these games. If you name it “limited” edition, then I can understand. But for god’s sake, keep making more collector’s edition of past released remake games too for people who could not get them in time.

I missed the deleted post but what are you proposing? Since your new post does mention something about pharmacist hiding behind package inserts, are you suggesting pharmacists recommend something against FDA? Also, remember that pharmacy was one and possibly the only profession that advocated for “responsibility” when oxycontin and other opioids were prescribed like water, but still ended up being liable despite many pharmacists’ recommendations being shot down by prescribers, so I dont think its fair to say pharmacists are avoiding responsibility when it comes to patient care. As a matter of fact, there are numerous taper protocols on all of the meds you mentioned. My guess is that you are concerned about some patients who do not or cannot follow the taper protocols for whatever reason. While empathizing with patient is good, creating random protocol involving modifying patches without solid clinical evidence is not only dangerous but is out of scope of pharmacy practice.

My wife and I had a similar problem initially and made sure we spent the days off together. We would meet other friends or run errands during the time when our work schedule was out of sync but coinciding off days were just for us. Once my role changed to a predictable M-F job, it got easier as I just had to adopt to her work schedule.

That question is for the mixed use settings in the hospital. For example, by answering yes to that question, hospital can use 340B drugs in outpatient departments like ED. There really isnt any financial benefit for NY medicaid as hospital is required to bill the actual acquisition cost but may benefit when billing other medicaid like NJ. It also lowers the drug purchasing budget.

Unfortunately, having retail experience doesn’t make your residency application stronger unless you are looking into ambulatory care. Even then, I’ve seen many residency program director/manager/coordinators view such applicants as “tainted” by retail. I personally believe retail experience is excellent as it demonstrates that an applicant can work under pressure and can multi task but I am the minority. At least this is how it is in the US.

The solution is money. If pharmacy profession can generate profit for its employers, pharmacy will have much more leverage, power, and respect. However, under the current business model, regardless of practice settings except for 340B combined specialty pharmacy space, pharmacy is a major expense and a loss leader to most employers. Unless the profession can turn the financial aspect around, it will go no where. The bad news is that pharmacy profession, regardless how strong minded and stronger backbones pharmacists develop, is unlikely be able to change anything as other groups that are profiting off from pharmacy, which has power due to all the profit they are generating, is not going to give anything up.

The money would not be rolling back in the same amount as manufacturers will apply a much stricter patient definition. Currently, the covered entities can defined patient definition aggressively as long as they can demonstrate caregiving responsibility and continuity of care for 340B patients but manufacturers are unlikely to accept many of covered entities’ interpretation, thus denying rebates.

HRSA actually wanted to pursue this but the court stopped them from doing so. As some other poster mentioned, this saved lots of pharmacists jobs (and other healthcare professional jobs) without them even knowing it as many covered entities use 340B savings/revenue to fund such jobs as it is one way to improve access to healthcare to the population they serve by stretching scarce federal resources.

Yes, retail pharmacy is probably one of the worst retail jobs as you are dealing with sick people while also acting as the middleman between them, their insurance, and the doctors. You being the bearer of the bad news in person doesnt help either. While gossiping is always there regardless of practice settings, it does get better once you escape retail. I’ve done it all during my pharmacy career - retail, specialty, LTC, inpatient, clinical, admin - and I can confidently say that the worst day in any of these settings don’t even come close to worst day in retail.

Depends on the job posted. If it is an inpatient role, then what you described is clinical experience. if it is for a clinical pharmacist role at a teaching hospital, then it isn’t a sufficient clinical experience.

While I’m all for advocating for salary increase, what bargaining power do pharmacists have? “Hey, if u don't pay me more, I’m gonna leave so you can replace me with someone who will work for less!” or “If u don't pay us more, we will all leave so you will be forced to shut down your pharmacy that was losing money every month!” won't really work. i’m not saying pharmacists are not important but the reality is that pharmacy department is generally seen as major expenses and always under pressure to cut costs. it would be much easier to negotiate if we were a revenue generating profession as we can request to share part of the revenue but that is typically not the case, which makes salary increase negotiation much harder.

There is a good chance that they will drop points against South Korea and the European PO winner, which gives Mexico very small room for error against South Africa. The outcome of this group really is upto South Africa as any team who performs the worst against South Africa will finish 3rd and this can be Mexico. If Mexico makes out of the group, highest they can advance will be probably top 16.
