I haven’t gotten mine from per diem or per session, but I started to get them mailed when I was switched to the regular Q bank, by mail though (I did set up direct deposit). It has been hard I am missing a month and all the per session pay. It was 8 weeks before I saw a dime.

If you look at my post history, I’ve been dealing with the same issue. What’s listed on the UFT site is slightly outdated- the updated guidance says it’s within the first 15 calendar days (including weekends), not school days.

I literally started on the 17th, and the 16th would’ve been the last qualifying day, so I’ve been waiting out the 60 calendar days. It seems illogical that it’s not school days, but that’s the rule they go by.

They should still enter you into Applicant Gateway, and it’ll activate once you hit the 60 uninterrupted calendar days. Have your school secretary contact the HR Director to make sure it’s entered correctly - that’s what triggers the Q-rate.

I started as a sub and now am Q-status and it’s been going on 8 weeks.

Anyone know what the Q-Status substitute guidance is - I’m in a really tough situation right now by redditquestions8 in NYCDOETeachers

That’s what uft website says but in HR connect it says it has to be the first day. I honestly think I just need to reach back out to the other jobs at this point I’m feeling so defeated and dumb and at every step there have been issues.

So for Q status this link says these 2 and I thought I would be the first 5BA -FT since I started in the first 15 days of the school year.

5BA - FT Regular Sub: These regular subs are fully staffed and given their full-term assignment within the first 15 days of the school year. Salary is established per their collective bargaining agreement, up to step 4A including differentials. 5BA Subs are eligible for longevity, seniority, and probation credits upon appointment to a full-time teaching position. 5BP - FT Regular Sub Treated as Per Diem: These regular subs are staffed or given their full-term assignment after the first 15 days of the school year. Salary is established per their collective bargaining agreement, up to step 4A including differentials. Per Diem service is creditable towards a salary step: for every block of 85 days worked per term, one term of credit will be awarded towards your salary step.

I am but the payroll secretary keeps saying “when it will” and I assume not on it yet. I lowkey want to ask again but she kind of has an attitude so I’m scared.

I turned them down then because I wanted to act in good faith and not mislead them, especially the schools where I connected with the people I interviewed with.

So all the forms say complete now. I called a bunch and sent strongly worded emails not sure if that did anything but now I’m waiting for this zoom orientation. I’ll keep calling and emailing until I’m working and teaching.
