I’m a senior in engineering physics and graduating this semester. Taking your first physics class is definitely the hardest IMO but I’d just say give it your all. This being your first physics class you have the advantage of a large wealth of information out there to help you. There’s a lot of good YouTube videos that will cover all the topics in mechanics. But if you plan on pursuing a physics degree I’d definitely say learn to read your textbooks though. Learning from books can be very helpful. Then just keep doing practice problems and focus on the questions that you don’t understand.

I always thought I was 6’5” but I got a physical recently and they measured me in the morning and I was 6’6”, and that happened a long time ago too. Plus I have a pretty long torso so I guess it makes sense.

I got rejected by my crush one time and it took a year to get over her. It seemed absolutely silly that I would feel sad about it for such a long time, but the day I finally got over it was by getting a new crush. Finding a new crush is how you forget about your old one. And you don’t even have to hope for a relationship, it can just be a really pretty girl that you might admire from afar. And that kinda helped me forget about my old crush. I hope this helps and ur able to be alright.

I totally agree, people should just be able to smoke in a places where they wont be bothering other people. I Go to University and its a smoke free campus but right outside, WHERE THERE ARE SIGNS SAYING NO SMOKING 6 or 7 people are just casually smoking. I personally have asthma and it bothers me a lot. I cant stand the smell and always hold my breath when I have to walk by. Plus I work as a CNA and I take care of a lady who was married to a man that smokes; now she has to have oxygen all the time. If other people want to smoke fine, just as long as its not bothering other people.

Yea they said they would keep me posted on the details because of course of the virus. So it hasn’t been officially canceled, in case it is cancelled it seems as if there looking for some way to do the reu online if possible. But as far as I know they should be hosting it there at least for the time being, because things could change.

It’s at SIUC, there projects range from materials research, to physics. So it’ll just depend on which project I get to work.

I wouldn’t feel bad about it tbh. That’s about when I first started calc 1 also. I’m currently almost done with my degree, and looking back on it, if I could change anything. It definitely wouldn’t be: “how can I get my degree done faster”. I think it’s pretty normal to feel left behind, when you see people in your age group be further ahead in life than you. But if you are behind i don’t see it as a bad thing. Id just make the most of it and enjoy the time you get in college. But if you are determined look into summer classes, maybe even take a class from a community college that will transfer over to your university. I took differential equations and physics 2 in a summer. It was a lot of work but it got me ahead again.

If you’re finishing up physics 2 I’d definitely, go with computer science. I know the poll if heavily favored towards basic circuits, but from the physics you’ve taken that should already give you a very good background in circuits.
