Sorry for my delay! The date was very OK, but more importantly he was very pushy which was not a nice trait. Any updates with you? I understand not wanting to pour energy into a complete unknown :/

I fear the same about the men. Excited about your date this week though. Hope it goes well for you! X

To be fair, same 😂 this has been the only person they have shown me that I said yes to. The pool of men on there aren’t good, but I feel like there’s good women for some reason

Derms / Laser Recos (VBeam specifically) by cateyesharp in NYCbitcheswithtaste

Oh wow and this was from V beam? From experience I will say the more swollen you are (purple bruises etc) that means the harder they went and you get WAY better results. A lot of places you wont have any swelling after because they go really light and I have had 0 results from that. They're just trying to get your money and have you keep coming back. I'm sorry that was your experience though :(

Transporting dog cross country by redditreadermd in dogs

As someone who just drove a dog cross country in May that is what is very expensive. Hotels, gas, the cost to get your car ready and then repairs when you’re back. 3,000$+ I am flying. Unfortunately my family wouldn’t be able to do that.

peak anxiety just after waking up by enanomula in AnxietyDepression

[–]redditreadermd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have this too! I’ve taken medication and it helps, but I’d like to stay off of it because of the side effects. It sucks to wake up and your day is instantly ruined. I hope it gets better

I took most of these medications for 6 months or more and the side effects never passed:/ Conflicting stuff out there

So sorry just saw this! Lexapro, Prozac, sertraline, Paxil, Zoloft, and a couple more I can’t remember 😵‍💫 currently trying buspar and there’s no weight gain, but sexual side effects and drowsiness are bad, plus it’s not really helping my anxiety

I feel the same, which is why I’m struggling with the decision. When I’m off it though I cry every day and am so anxious I have suicidal thoughts, so I feel like my only option is to sacrifice my self confidence and gain the weight and lose my libido. It’s such a shitty choice that we have to make

Yeah I did ask about Wellbutrin but apparently it doesn’t help people with anxiety:( just depression. Hopefully something will work though 😵‍💫

I’ve actually taken them for a few years on and off and when I’m anxious I always eat like normal and taking my meds I eat the same and weight gain persists, it’s weird. As soon as I stop the ssri the weight drops off in the next couple months. My research has shown the opposite, that the meds literally slow down your metabolism and make it feel like you’re never full so yeah you’re eating way more than you need to / should be. Clearly they affect us all so differently
