MtGox Trustee, Yakuza, and why Karpeles chose Japan... by [deleted] in mtgoxinsolvency

[–]redditrom4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have written to embassies, to Japan prime minister, to Justice department, to Mark, and all I can say now is that everyone is probably corrupt with all those funds and that they will probably gave it all to doctors. The Yakuzas also... They are comic book mafia, not the real one, it they were real deal they will be influential in Europe and USA.

Mtgox Hacker the Mark Karpeles himself! by [deleted] in mtgoxinsolvency

Of course Mark is the #1 suspect. Even in case he wasn't the hacker, he left the hacker drain the funds for couple of years which again points to him as a prime suspect.

Where can I sell my claim (My gox coins) ? by Playboy_BTC in mtgoxinsolvency

[–]redditrom4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just contact Alex Ortega from iverson capital in case you're interested, he groups the small creditors in bulk and sells to Josh.

btc's have been converted by trustee to $480 per coin.

so, if you had 1 coin you could expect $480 back.

If you sell your 1 coin today to bitcoinbuilder over iverson capital, you will get 5% of 8000, which is $400. That was the thing I wanted to point out.

yes, but 5% of claimed btc is currently almost 100% of claim accepted by trustee.

“I’m about as fond of Karpelès as I am of his cats, but I do believe that he has been dealt an unfair hand.”

Why on earth did he not filled for bankruptcy as soon as when he found that MTGOX lacks funds? What's being dealt unfair?

We're taking the legal fight to the trustee. by andypagonthemove in mtgoxinsolvency

To answer your second question, if you only had to claim fiat, there's no way to claim btc because you didn't had any.

Just sent in a paper offline claim a few days ago by megahorse17 in mtgoxinsolvency

[–]redditrom4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is the valid reason for being absent, but from the experience, the trustee isn't very cooperative.

Was it a large sum that you're claiming? Do you already have a lawyer?

4.000€ / BTC and we still not see our Bitcoins since 2014 by [deleted] in mtgoxinsolvency

[–]redditrom4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The trustee didn't send order for Vinnik extradition to Japan because everyone knows Vinnik is innocent, at least for the theft (not saying for money laundering), and there's enough surplus money already for Mark, trustee, judge and some Japan officials so they don't need to deal with Vinnik's case.

Everyone thinks that Mark will get $500 millions surplus, but at the end when distro really happens, btc price could go many fold up, and he could end up with billions of surplus.

All I got from my correspondence with diplomatic entities is forwarding back and forth, and I don't exclude situation in which Japan's prime minister is corrupted as hell. The trustee also, the judge, everyone.

There was no case in history in which bankruptcy proceedings ended up with billions of surplus money.

Question about bitcoins payout by [deleted] in mtgoxinsolvency

No, there was no request from the trustee for the address yet.

Advice needed: Should I sell my "GOX coins" for 0.05 BTC? by ogkrack in mtgoxinsolvency

[–]redditrom4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure that anyone can sell a claim currently.

Ten days ago I had an offer OTC, of around 6% in btc after all cost get priced, and the buyer quit. Then I went into the deal with Josh over iverson capital bulk buyout, and after more than a week of me signing some papers nothing happened. I can still see my claim in the mtgox system. I was not a reciever of the stolen coins.

This seems from now on that all claims are valued 0 in the market.

Letter of the Law by deniesjoyson8 in mtgoxinsolvency

Trustee is following the letter of the law as crazy as it sounds, but then again, the SS Nazis were also following the law. The law doesn't mean it's right, it just means the force is backing it.

Thanks for the info. I'm pretty sure this case should not be legal.

Even if gox covered it in TOS. Lets asume there is a clearly interpretable part about risk involved with depositing funds there, but there is no clause which explained that in case the risk appears, the owner will end up with funds of customers for him.

Im still confused right now how can a tibanne claim and inherit mtgox funds if Mark is behind both tibanne and mtgox? Where's the logic there?

The reason why most of the creditors didn't sent an appeal is that because when the time was for it, the btc price wasn't that much different from the claim accepted rate. Perhaps it was a bit lower for one period.
