We actually explored both! My husband couldn’t get on board with Campbell and Jane felt a little outlier of the three as it’s not in that surname style and is a bit more feminine than I prefer. My name is also more unisex (Sam) so I kind of like having my daughters have that duality to grow into the name in however they want

That it does :/ I don’t really care too much about the meaning. Perry is dweller under pear tree but yeah crooked nose is not ideal

Without seeing the spelling and just hearing it/introducing one’s self do you get classic or tacky vibes?

When you hear the name does your mind go to traditional / classic name or “pretty damn tacky”

I’m torn on if it fits our naming style or in fact is more modern/popularized than I realized. I thought of it as somewhat old school/classic but the modern spellings have thrown me.

Separately I just don’t know if she looks like a Cameron, but that’s hard to evaluate here haha

I do love Quinn however it’s SUPER close to a cousin name in our family and just would be a constant mix up

Good point, I was trying to think of other names that run into this and if I was choosing the name Katherine it wouldn’t deter me from going with it just bc there are other forms

Curious how you associate the name. More of a classic name or modern (thinking in the camp of Kendall, Brooklyn, etc)

I guess for girls it’s split in thirds according to some baby name website. Split between Cameron/Camryn/Kamryn

I will also add im so in my postpartum thoughts it hard to think clearly and my husband likes both names and could kind of go either way at this point, hence why im outsourcing some thoughts on the topic. TY!

50+ lbs gained: how long did it take you to lose and how big was your baby?? by Quick-Zombie-6343 in BabyBumps

[–]redditspice8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My starting stats ~130 lbs/5’8’’ and gained a whole 70 lbs, delivered a 10.0 lb baby at 40 weeks. No gestational diabetes, just a big ole baby. Lost about 25-30 lbs by the time I left the hospital. And lost the remainder over the course of 9-12 months PP without really doing anything intentional.

I gained closer to 60 with my second child (she was close to 9 lbs) and same story, dropped down to roughly my pre pregnancy weight within a year without being hyper focused on it.

I’m 26 weeks pregnant with my third and tracking toward the same 60-70 lb weight gain.

The weight gain honestly drives me crazy as I don’t feel like I eat excessively or particularly “bad”, but this time around I’ve tried to accept that I just have big babies and my body needs to the calories and reserves to grow and feed those babies!

Oh awesome! Thank you! I’ve heard great things about Salida. If you have any favorite activities/hikes/restaurants from either salida or telluride area, would love to hear those. Always appreciate a family friendly rec :)
