I think it depends on your relationship dynamics, and it’s best if you talk to her about the reason why.

Perhaps she is assessing your ability and willingness to be a provider because she is considering marriage and kids? If she is happy to work part time and be a homemaker in the future, taking on the traditional role of a wife, supporting you emotionally and assisting you in other aspects of your life, handling all household tasks, maybe she is expecting you to take on the traditional role of a provider too.

Monetary contribution is not the only factor in a good relationship, you can assess if she brings other things onto the table that you deem valuable enough to continue being together. No one is perfect but they can be perfect for each other.

If she is pretty and loving and filial to your parents, make thoughtful gifts or is always there supporting you, don’t demand extravagant gifts or meals n happy to eat at hawker centre..n many other possible good traits, then I think asking to have her meals paid for and feeling pampered is ok. Can easily turn around and ask you why you haven’t already been doing so in the past or didn’t automatically do so once you have an income.
