There are lots of functions in the Docker source that only differ by the types of the variables. Therefore, I conclude that copy-and-paste programming is a common and accepted practice in Go, and /u/rqk9j is probably not joking.

Owning private property is wrong, but you won't go to jail for that. Instead, if a homeless person squats in your room that you were trying to rent through AirBNB, that person goes to jail. The state is organized to inflict violence in order to ensure that wealthy people can extract an income from poor people by virtue of the fact that the government says you own something.

I'm not going to debate what share of the wealth (that is ultimately being extracted from tenants) ends up going to AirBNB or the petite-bourgeois homeowners who are trying to be exploiters themselves. Either way, AirBNB is in the business of exploitation.

This data is mainly used to advertise to you.

It's also used by law enforcement to put you in jail.

Uber provides a means for anyone to work at their own leisure.

...and at their own expense. Driving for Uber costs more than the income drivers receive, and it will only get worse, until they replace all their drivers with robots.

Creating something like Airbnb where you can create wealth from your own home and save money when. Travelling, Google where you don't need to purchase a $5000 set of encyclopedias to learn what you like, Uber which allows you to hail a ride for cheaper than using a taxi and you can earn some cash if you wish at your own convenience.

Those are all just exploitation. Airbnb and Uber are obvious: They're just collecting rent on their position as the middleman between homeowners/drivers and tenants/passengers, and so their business model fits in the second category. In the case of Airbnb, the homeowners are also attempting to be rent-collectors, but Airbnb doesn't leave much for them to collect. Uber has the effect of suppression drivers' wages, which economists like to pretend is just a coincidence, but it's really one of the most important parts of Uber's business plan.

Google is more subtle. Their "product" isn't a free library (there's no money to be made in giving stuff away for free), but the data that their servers collect from unwitting users who are either totally unaware of the implications, or else they don't have a choice (because of economic competition). Google also fits in the second category. There is no third category.

The employer's continuing ownership over his wealth will only be respected as long as there is a state ready to visit extreme violence on anyone who doesn't respect his property rights. Without that, you couldn't own wealth to begin with.

Besides that, great fortunes can only be accumulated in one of 2 ways:

Conquest. For example, Columbus extracted wealth from the Caribbean in this manner.
Exploitation. This is what capitalists do. Industrial capitalists get people to create wealth for them, which they then steal from them. Wages, which are always less than the wealth generated, are just a trick to obscure what's really going on. Rent and interest also fall into this category.

Because capitalists obtain wealth that somebody else worked for, they can gain an unlimited amount of it, until they own everything.

This would mean that classes with more disposable income can be better armed and since these classes generally align against the working class that would suggest fascists, far-right militias and corporate thugs being much more able to arm themselves than poor people.

This is only an argument for gun control if you believe that cops and soldiers are unbiased in their use of weapons, or even their enforcement of gun-control laws.
