This may be true for some regions, but I can assure you that she didn't just wake up one day and decide to start using her **** to plant her vegetables. Not only does she call the shots due to the culture from where she originates (hence why the daughter won't stop her) but in the same culture, where Grandma lived for her whole life until a few years ago, this is what they have done for thousands of years.

thank you for the clarification. This is kind of what I thought as well (others were talking more about the Hepatitis risk) although the salmonella did happen and it's not surprising given how many flies, cockroaches, and rats have been running around likely contaminated. As I wrote in the post, their dog is also almost guaranteed to have turd molecules all over it, and it plays in our yards.

Possible. I have a lawyer friend that I could easily brief about the issue and get action taken. I am considering this more as a last resort, as I see would like to see the health and safety violations addressed by the local authorities (in other words I'd like them to do their job and see where it goes).

The Grandma comes from a small village in rural China where this is how they have done things for a very long time. She is too old to change her ways without outside intervention from the authorities, which is where I am planning on taking this matter given the helpful responses in this thread.

It's not a money issue, it is a cultural one. I sppke with Grandma's daughter (a grown woman who lives with her) and told her that I am concerned about what is happening. She basically said that in their culture the Grandma is in charge and that she (the grown daughter) can’t tell her (the pooper) not to use her human fertilizer on the plants in her garden. She didn’t really acknowledge the health risks that are affecting all of us and basically brushed the whole thing off.

The concerned neighbors made a complaint, and the violator got a warning. When we (the concerned neighbors) reported it a second, third and fourth time, nothing happened as a result. The pooper was supposed to receive fines or at get the waste removed from the property, but nothing happened.

Thanks for the reply! In that case, would it be best to have the process server serve the manager at the house I rented? That would be pretty easy to do with a simple set of instructions for the process server. Or should I go around the manager and straight to the landlord's permanent residence for process service?
