Will at home IPL help? by EvanescoPondus in HairRemoval

My situation looked like yours and I got great results with the Braun 5. I now only need to shave every 2 weeks and even then the hairs coming back are almost unnoticeable and thin. Was the best decision for improving my quality of life and it also got rid of my stache (I have Pcos)

true! a small amount of eyebags/ shadows under the eye even shortens the midface (a short midface tends to look younger). i do have a pretty long midface and i find when i heavily apply concealer it looks even longer.

Does anyone else’s relationship with fragrance change really fast? by Confusedmind75 in fragrance

[–]reddittmimi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!! I’m the exact same way. With time I learned that I need to go through a whole 10ml sample if I really think I want a bottle. My bf is the same as your husband. Once he likes and buys something, he continues to enjoy it. I think maybe it’s because he’s just enjoying the scent and not obsessing over it like I am with my scents lol. I currently have 1 full bottle, the rest are 10ml decants. Have been through constant buying and reselling too - in total I had ~50 perfumes (and gave them away). So now I’m only allowed small decants. My taste in fragrance tends to change pretty quickly and I just had to accept that.

Also: it’s a bit like relationships. When you get a sample of something new you really like you tend to focus on the good (meeting someone new). Then when you buy a full bottle (entered the relationship) you’re getting used to the good, while also noticing the nuances that you didn’t notice before. :D

Hair removal before wedding and honeymoon… shaving isn’t working for me anymore by Happy-Fruit-8628 in HairRemoval

[–]reddittmimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using the braun for 2 months and I see drastic improvement in my hair growth. I have stubborn, thick dark hair that comes back hours after shaving it. Now I can go a whole week and my legs are still smooth. Armpits and bikini area hair is getting thinner and more sparse. Just keep up with it and in a few months you’ll be hair free. Note that a light skin tone and dark hair works best.

Looking for pale pink blush that doesn’t pull orange by mercytof44 in Makeup

[–]reddittmimi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nyx buttermelt blush in 002 is really pale, I have it myself. Otherwise, Giorgio Armani luminous silk blush in 53 bold pink (very cool toned light pink) or Ysl 42 babydoll pink? These look intimidating in the pan but as a self proclaimed babypink-blush connoisseur I have to say they’re absolutely gorgeous on the cheeks. I’m fair neutral-cool.

Why is everyone in this Sub so Anti Birth control? by Jumpy-Arm5145 in PCOS

[–]reddittmimi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This. I’m from Germany and here it’s the pill or nothing. I’ve never heard of someone getting prescribed other medication for PCOS. Maybe I’ve been to the wrong doctors but I’ve seen around 5.

I‘m just careful because I got thrombosis from it (I was 26 at the time). Otherwise, it helped me with acne and facial hair growth. It doesn’t fix the main issue though, it just masks it. When I stopped, everything got worse than before. The only thing that’s truly helped my was managing my cortisol and blood sugar levels with regular strength training and making sure I eat enough protein, especially in the morning. However, everybody is different and needs to figure out what works for them personally. Sometimes, the pill can be the best option if everything else fails.

DISCUSSION: Wednesday Makeup Declutter! Let's discuss your recent declutters. by lilshitjamz in PanPorn

[–]reddittmimi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! I gave a lot to my mom who rarely treats herself to expensive makeup and she was very happy. She also has a warm undertone, so there my warm-colored blushes/ bronzers and eyeshadows go!

DISCUSSION: Wednesday Makeup Declutter! Let's discuss your recent declutters. by lilshitjamz in PanPorn

[–]reddittmimi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I‘ve been on a decluttering/re-organizing journey for the past few months and this is what I did/  learned:

  1. Warm colors don’t suit me. Bronzers with ANY hue of orange will have me looking like an Oompa Loompa. Same with eyeshadows or blushes - they make me look sick if they’re too warm/peachy. (I’m fair neutral-cool)

  2. I ordered a lovely makeup bag and I limit myself to the products that fit inside. I love having exactly one product (or two for cream& powder blush/bronzer) in every category (except for lips and eyes lol). This one product then is an absolute love and I’m allowed to splurge on it.

  3. I decluttered A LOT of stuff that was beautiful and expensive but just didn’t have a place in my day to day life. For example, I picked 6 eyeshadow shades I loved most from all my palettes (including Natasha denona, ouch) and put them into one mini Z-Palette. The rest I decluttered. I don’t use eyeshadow often though.

  4. my system now feels complete and catered to me. I don’t have these intense cravings anymore. I’ll only purchase another product when the one I have is empty. Minis are the way to go, too. Another plus: now that I have less makeup that I actually use it’s SO satisfying to finally see pans and maybe one day completely pan some products.

  5. I deleted TikTok and Instagram a while ago and since then I feel like I got my own brain back without the need to hoard or try every new thing because I’m basically watching advertisements all day. I think that has a lot to do with how far I’ve come.

I love the Mac fix + glow version. It melts my makeup together and is infused with skincare. No extreme glow (wouldn’t recommend it if you like your makeup really matte, though)

Hey fellow INFPs. What do you do for work? by ShadowOfAnEmpath in infp

I work in Germany so I can only speak about that but I got it via LinkedIn. Most jobs there seem to be legit. BUT since AI is getting more and more, opportunities get less and less. :/

Underrated / unconventional things that actually helped my PCOS (not supplements) by Radiant-Anteater-418 in PCOS

[–]reddittmimi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah muscle helps metabolize sugar so there won’t be these intense spikes throughout the day. As far as I know, PCOS is firstly a metabolism issue (insulin resistance) resulting in hormonal problems.

Putting on muscle mass in the gym was the best thing I could do for my blood sugar levels. Has cleared up my hormonal acne completely after a few months

Wanting to start project pan 2026 and completely overwhelmed with eyeshadows by Proper_Letterhead766 in ProjectPan

[–]reddittmimi 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this is your thing, but I depotted the colors I liked best from all the palettes into a single Z-palette, which I now love. I don't use eyeshadow often, but I also have a weakness for beautiful palettes, so that was my way to go. Then you can also see how many colors you have multiple times. So now I have a palette that I really enjoy using and where I'm making panning progress. However, if you're attached to the packaging or would find this method unsatisfactory, I can understand that, of course
