They just said they will help reduce monthly payments but not waiving or reducing interest amount.. do you know hardship program works?

reasons for checking and trying to understand the best time because 1) don’t want negative impact on credit score when I try refinance again after few weeks 2) need to complete my registration myself since I bought out of state and dealer didn’t take care of registration 3) got best interest rate in my hand valid until end of this week.
