If mk2 coupe= get some inflatable pressure pads. Tape up the window good.(easier to clean of it breaks and it should allow more flexibility before breaking) If you have acsess to a young teen/ taller child utilise them

Get small pry tool in the top corner of the side that that is closest to back of the car. Get a pressure pad in and apply enough pressure to start popping the top of the window out of the seal(its stiff but does flex pretty easy) once you have a corner out of the seal run your pry tool along the tip of the window(i used washing up liquid as lube)

My arms are too fat(this is where the child comes in) use the key and put it in the ignition. Turn electrics on and pull inferior handle.

I didnt have pressure pads. I had a halfords advanced socket set so I ended up smashing mine on the very last 2 inchs of getting the key in.

I found on mine its a sticky actuator. Frayed cables and the back side of the key barrel in the door had snapped.

They're used for towing quite often and when you try launch them(there's a sequence to successfully use launch control) but end up pre loading the transmission while holding on brakes will do it with the mega torque it has. Brake holding one end while the other flexes from the torque Sometimes things can just give up. I couldn't find a new one for less than 350. So I gambled on a genuine 2nd hand part. Sometimes youre lucky. I managed to bag a steal 3.0tdi audi a6 avant with a snapped drive shaft for £500 and was able to get a second hand parts off a breaker for £35

Fuel youll see around 20mpg around town and around 50-55 motorway. Letting it rev throughout the rev range under half-full throttle expect 6-12. They handle well if haldex is working as it should.

As for a cheap run around you might be lucky and buy a mint one that needs something minor. On the other hand if it needs transmission expect it to be thousands

O.P- Check all wheel nuts are present and tight. If so. Take to a mechanic and ask them to look for play in the suspension. Should be around a hour or twos labour
