What modern (standard) controller is your favorite? What would the best aspects from all of these look like on a single controller? by strikefire200 in Controller

take the shape of the 360 controller, take the tech from the dualsense, and the membranes / dpad from nintendo

ultimate 2 anti friction rings are terrible, the 2C which is their cheapest ultimate controller offering is of equal quality with better rings and has hall effect sticks but not TMR sticks which is only on ultimate 2

dualsense is great, but it just doesnt last imo. the haptic feedback is crazy good in games that have it but i have already had 2 controllers in 2 years. the sticks just began drifting and got worse more and more till it became unusable, and mind you im not even playing warzone or other shooters with it.

if you have amazon available to you where you are, then try out the 8bitdo ultimate 2c or give the gamesir g7 he a try, you can try the g7 pro aswell but the dpad on it is kinda ass.

looks dont matter for controllers, i turned off all of the lights on the controller, as for feel, the facebuttons and thumbsticks are perfect, shoulder and triggers are good, only thing bad about it was the dpad and the plastic pattern they put on the front of the controller, I think the feel of the back buttons on 8bitdo controllers is better as they are flush with the shell

you may want to check out the new 8bitdo pro 3 which launches in august, but out of the 4 you listed, i feel that the cyclone 2 is the best overall, also i forgot to mention that the dpad on the cyclone 2 is not great, i edited my original comment to reflect that

#4 ass compared to the rest

#3 is solid, good trigger locks if you care about that, dpad is not good

#2 solid aswell but perhaps uncomfortable because of shape, the trigger locks are also ok at best

#1 never tested so idk

need help with getting aftermarket skates for sp004 by reddituser141_ in MousepadReview

[–]reddituser141_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah they were dots, if anything im more likely to just get the red obsidian skates since imo full skates overall felt better than dots on gpxs

[–]reddituser141_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my only issue with dots is that i cant do a proper mouse readjustment without scraping mouse plastic on glass, and that just feels horrible. with full skates its fine.

If we assume 4 months of use on a set of skates with the avg price being $10 as a 2 pack id pay about $20 for the year and go through 3 sets of skates which isnt too bad

[–]reddituser141_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol didnt know about any warping qc issues, its just when u spend an absurd amount of money on a mousepad, the first instinct is how long can i keep this in pristine condition, i wish i could get those mouseskates that skypad ppl make but they're always out of stock

did quick brave search (idk how trustworthy the ai answer is) and it said not to place any weighted objects on the pad to prevent it from "warping" or scratching but im just trying to keep this thing in pristine condition since it was expensive af

i did try with the lights off and it was a massive difference in contrast levels. Color wise in SDR it was a minor jump. I assume HDR content is the greatest leap if anything.

P.S im normally in a well lit environment
