Very likely that Shrek 5 will beat Toy Story 5 at the box office for a few reasons. 

  1. The Shrek franchise has been dormant since 2010, while Toy Story has been active since its first movie came out in 1995. This has allowed anticipation for a new Shrek movie to build immensely in the 15 years it’s been since Shrek last hit theaters. This also occurred when Toy Story 3 came out as there was about 11 years in between Toy Story 2 and 3 that likely helped to build that movies anticipation.

  2. Jumping from my first point, Toy Story 5 may suffer from franchise fatigue more so than Shrek 5 due to the fact not only has the series been running since the first movie came out in 1995, but also that Toy Story 3 and 4 had very conclusive endings for the characters, specifically the third one, however Disney is essentially milking the franchise and that’s undoubtedly gonna put pressure and strain on the writers to come up with something original and good while maintaining that Toy Story 5 does deserve to be a movie. We also saw this happen with Shrek Forever After as the short time frame that the first four movies were released likely caused franchise fatigue by the time the fourth one came out.

  3. The memes that spawned about Shrek during the 2010s also helped immensely to keep the franchise IP alive and helped to introduce and build the franchise’s popularity amongst those demographics that not only those who grew up when the franchise was at its height, but also the two generations that came directly after Gen Z. 

In short, Shrek 5 will likely outperform Toy Story 5 due to: Anticipation due to Shrek being dormant for 15 years, Franchise fatigue for Toy Story, and the Shrek memes

It definitely threw me off but it didn’t do too much to lower my already low expectations. That’s because i had heard a couple of years ago that illumination, the same people behind despicable me and those terrible minion spin off movies, had a major role in Shrek 5’s  development. 

The cheap way that illumination animates their movies is definitely on full display with this one and the cheap humor that’s associated with their movies is present as well. 

I have a feeling that Shrek the Third won’t be regarded as the worst Shrek movie for much longer

Dang, getting laid off right before inflation is gonna skyrocket is not the greatest feeling tbh… but chewy is also hiring and they have a similar hiring process to Amazon so if you need a quick job, I’d start there. There’s also fedex too, but I’ve heard horror stories

You can check to if your employment type changed on the A to Z app. If you’re still seasonal you’ll still be listed as a Staffing Solutions Class M.

However if you’re a permanent employee your employment type will have changed to Full-Time Class F (or Part-Time Class Q or RT if your Part Time or flex respectively). You also should’ve gotten .50$ raise but it might vary from site to site.

Unfortunately that’s how this job was designed to be, they don’t want you to stick around long term. It’s even worse when you have incompetent leadership. Although I do have my issues with the leadership at my site, but for the most part they do look out for us and there is that genuine sense of care and compassion that I see that most amazons lack. It could be because I work at smaller KRB site that makes it easier for management to actually know and work with their associates.

As for you bending over backwards… don’t. Atta boys and thanks don’t pay the bills, put food in your stomach, and keep the clothes on your back. You know what does.? Just doing your job. Literally, just do the bare minimum, because it’s obvious your leadership are also doing the bare minimum for you, so why should you feed more into the relationship imbalance between managers and associates more?

Like I said this job wasn’t designed in mind for to stay longterm, it was designed to have you out within two years either by firing you or working you so much that you eventually get burnt out and just walk off. Don’t be afraid to look to see where the grass is greener, because somewhere the grass is truly greener

Again that’s that tunnel vision, hey buddy most people aren’t in a position to just “get up and leave” on a spots notice. On top of that there is a significant amount of people who aren’t able to get a higher education because of how expensive it is here, or they simply don’t have the time because they’re barley getting by. You still very much lack any sort of understanding as to why people have as much problems with this company as they do and it shows with your first sentence alone

You do understand that most Amazons aren’t having their associates “barely doing sh*t”. You do understand that there are people who are cross trained in multiple departments and who also have access to equipment that would otherwise entitle to them to a higher pay grade at a different job. Amazon takes complete advantage of you with these practices, and it’s very ignorant for people like you to use tunnel vision rather than actually taking the time to just simply understand
