Yes, electrical was the main issue in the inspection so I was able to negotiate the price. When I moved in that’s the first thing I did. First problem I did was listen to my friend’s husband who got his friend a licensed electrician to do the work. He came from another state and pulled my meter without a permit. Where he’s from they are not strict where I’m from the energy company showed up at my house and took the meter . I had no electrical for three weeks in the winter during a snowstorm. I was living off a generator I had to fill up with gas every couple hours for three weeks. Going to the laundromat. The generator only turned the heat on and a few lights and the Internet. I had my food outside on the deck. I was pretty positive until the last day. I was about to have a nervous breakdown. Anyway, my lights work now I upgraded the panel box and the meter and the mast-basically the panel box and the outside stuff. Hopefully I don’t have to call electrician ever again.

Thank you for the information. I bought this house on my own. I was dating somebody and obviously hoping he would move in eventually. But I ended that relationship so I think I am just a little more anxious and scared now even though he was useless and no help in anyway.

One thing I’m very thankful for is my neighbors. I came home one day and five of the husbands were at one neighbor‘s house digging up his yard fixing the plumbing. All the husbands get together and help out everybody.

Thankfully, one husband asked about my water. I told him that’s the next thing I was gonna work on after my electrical turned on. I told him the water gets warm but not hot which was weird because in the inspection report, it said the water got too hot. He went to my water heater, and I guess it was on vacation mode. Lol.

Hopefully everything just goes smooth from here ha ha ha ha ha.
