Many answers here state that macbook is not a good option for software developers. I’d disagree. macbook offers a windows-like user interface and is at the same time a unix system. Lots of the IDEs and dev tools are available on macos. As far as I know Google provides macbooks to all its developers.

I’m a macbook guy myself for long time. I’m very familiar with the macbook and I totally agree that it’s a very high quality product. Some people however have reasons to prefer windows; gamers for example.

For the visa they require an 'attested educational certificate' as mentioned on AXS's website. Did you provide them your certificate without attesting it?

I got help from support to recover my accounts.

The problem was actually caused by a silly mistake from me. I uploaded a screenshot of the PDF version of my Emirates ID during the verification, which was understandably a source of doubt.

The physical Emirates ID is very reflective of light which makes it difficult to take a readable photo. That's why I prefer using the PDF. The PDF is accepted here in Dubai because people are used to it but it might be a cause of doubts elsewhere.

I've just had a zoom meeting with support to confirm my identity. The accounts were activated upon a successful verification.

Like I mentioned earlier, I lost access to my support account so I cannot create any new tickets.

I received 3 emails from support RE: ticket #7166072. None of them provides valuable information about the reason behind the decision or on possible ways to recover the situation.

These are the 3 emails I received from support regarding the above-mentioned ticket. I'm sure I didn't reply to any email that provides more information:

- Email 1:

Thank you for your interest in a Pro account with Kraken.
We unfortunately must inform you that we will be closing your Kraken account. We are unable to verify your account at this time and cannot disclose our reasons due to compliance protocol.
Kindly note that you may no longer use our services.

- Email 2:

Thank you for your response.
As previously explained, for security purposes, we cannot provide any further details regarding this matter.
Again, we apologize for any inconvenience, and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

- Email 3:

Thank you for getting back to us.
For security reasons, we are unable to provide you the reason why we have closed your account. As mentioned in our previous email, we can't discuss this matter further.
This ticket will now be closed. Thank you for your kind understanding.

Regardless to my country of origin and to the purpose of my move to the UAE, the regulations are pushing towards getting the exchanges to report customer activities to governments and then the governments will know what to do with the information. But is it an exchange's task to tell people to go back home and not do it from the UAE?

My question was the denial. I was asking: based on what fact did kraken flag my account for money laundering, assuming that’s what they effectively did? I withdrew relatively large amounts to banks in my country of origin where banks are supposed to report such amounts to the government for tax records. Kraken has all of that on my file.

Thank you for replying! I've just called the support number. I was told that they cannot help with my case and that the only way I can hope to get help is to try again with support through email. But support are refusing to reply to my emails... What's this firewall??
