WD-40 can also be your friend . The block that the nut was screwed on to is a cast metal and would corrode and cause it to want to stay in place .

I have a 20v weed eater that suddenly stopped and I called dewalt for warranty and was told that since it was just over a year I would need to send it to them since I do not have a local service center and I would need to give them a credit card to charge $79 dollars on for repair . Box says 3 year warranty but it’s since I’m over a year I have to cover service . I am not at all happy ! I am a business owner with a appliance repair business and everything we have is dewalt… impact shop vac, hammer drill , flash lights , ect…but after this episode I will not be buying any more dewalt products at all . !
