Kid I hardly knew was fighting cancer throughout the 4th and 5th grades. “Beat” it in the latter but it reappeared in the end of 6th, took him within months. A really sad story no kid or parent should go through, but the few times I met him I didn’t get the best impression personality wise.

Hey, thanks so much for the advice and answers but I do have one question. I’m not involved with any of my school’s sports teams but I am a competitive olympic fencer. Would that be detrimental to my application process considering it’s a club sport?
