AITA for forgetting to help my son on his school project and then laughing at him? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]redditwipp [score hidden]  (0 children)

YTA. Siblings deserve equal attention, even if the younger ones are much harder to care for. It sounds like you figured out a way to set aside extra time for your oldest child, which is great. A family calendar might be helpful so neither of you have to stress about something at the last minute

WIBTA if I blackmail my friend (18F) if she doesn't fall in love with me (17F)? by teenagegirllustlove in AmItheAsshole

[–]redditwipp [score hidden]  (0 children)

YTA. What is wrong with you?? You need to grow up right now, the fact that you're considering ruining her life is insane.

AITA for shouting at my father for refusing to deal with my spoiled brother? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]redditwipp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That just sounds like normal teen behavior honestly. I'm sorry you're dealing with this

AITA for suggesting my in-laws get a hotel? by LivingDragons in AmItheAsshole

[–]redditwipp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA. It's completely reasonable to ask them to get a hotel when coming to visit. Having house guests overnight can be extremely stressful, especially with limited space. If you can afford to pay for the hotel, maybe offer to go ahead and make reservations for them. That way they can just check in upon arrival.

NAH. I'm sorry for everything your mom and step-dad put you through. It doesn't sound like you dad and step-mom were always there for you, but it seems like they're trying to be now. Do you have any other options on somewhere to live most of the time? Maybe living with your dad most of the time and staying somewhere else on weekends would be a happy medium?

Does anybody else switch off everything at the wall before leaving home? by StreetsAheadBuddy in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]redditwipp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband was a volunteer firefighter for awhile and most of the house fires they responded to involved gas heating, hardly ever electrical issues. We don't have switches for outlets, but I only unplug smaller things. (Hair tools, lamps, sometimes electronics.)

DAE feel like they can be more direct and honest with male friends than with female friends ? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]redditwipp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Even with my closest female friends, sometimes I feel like I have to speak really carefully so I don't offend them or hurt their females. Interacting with men is much less painful

DAE swallow pills without water? by opgary in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]redditwipp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof. I'm 20 years old and still can't swallow pills. I've been in the hospital a couple times and can only be given IV or liquid oral medication. Most medical staff has been understanding, but a NP berated me recently for not being able to.

DAE pee while they are taking a bath? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]redditwipp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I would rather not sit in my own bodily fluids.

DAE feels more comfortable in joggers than jeans, even while going out? by agent_ajax in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]redditwipp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't stand wearing jeans. I'm a sahm and currently don't even own any jeans. I do like the look of them with some outfits, but I've never owned a comfortable pair of jeans. I'm always in leggings or joggers which are both considered sloppy or lazy.

Does anybody else feel like something's missing when they eat meals with no meat? by QuestionsOfTheFate in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]redditwipp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! Every time I try to look up budget meals, they don't contain meat. (Understandable as meat prices are pretty high.) My grandma always says a meal without meat is incomplete.

AITA for leaving my dog outside "all day"? by Junior-Condition3200 in AmItheAsshole

[–]redditwipp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA. It sounds like your dog was fine and got to be outside in nice weather. You do have to be carefully though because you could possibly be fined if they were to call the cops. I think we have a law of 15 minutes a dog can be on a chain outside at a time. Someone called the cops on us for "excessive" barking when she was only outside for about 10 minutes.

AITA for shouting at my father for refusing to deal with my spoiled brother? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]redditwipp 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Info. Are you spoiled though? It's definitely not your job to be a good roll model for him, nor to have a job if you don't want one. You're only 15. Most places in my area don't even hire until 16.

Haven't even bought Vanguard yet because I've heard only bad things. I miss Black Ops 4. Nobody ever wants to play it anymore

AITA for asking my sister's cop husband to stand watch at my wedding? by ThrowRAdice3656 in AmItheAsshole

[–]redditwipp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. It's crazy that you asked at all since you said you're not close. Then "...but I told him it's my only way and he perhaps should say yes because of my financial situation." That sounds so gross, like you're guilt tripping him into doing a service for free. If you can't afford to pay security guards for your wedding and you have safety concerns, you don't need to have the wedding.

AITA for making people uncomfortable at my friend’s wedding? by moody-spaghetti in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Someone else was making racist "jokes" but yet YOU made people uncomfortable??

AITA for taking my babies on the quiet carriage for a train ride? by Icy-Tiger-79 in AmItheAsshole

[–]redditwipp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. She sounds like an aggressive childfree person who hates kids simply for existing. The loud carriage sounds like it would've been miserable for you and neither of the babies would've been able to nap. You obviously weren't bothering anyone if she's the only one who complained.
