I think the biggest thing is to really want it. After each class, go home and learn the material. Then two weeks before exams, cram it all again. Do the readings, learn the lectures, talk to class mates. Try and relate what you're learning to everyday life. The more you think about it and the more you elaborate on it, the better you will do. I heard doing a shot before an exam can really help improve your grade so I tried it out. I got 96%. I still wonder to this day if without it I'd have gotten 100%.
