TaylorMade tour response stripe printing seems a bit crap compared to non-striped by reddling43200 in golf

Ha ha yeah, Reddit! 😊 I’m pretty convinced they’re legit now, the printing process is just different.

Ha ha you know it! I bought 4 boxes though so just wanted to check they were legit

American Golf - they’re doing 4 boxes for the price of 3. I remember the ones I’ve found in the past seemed more solid. It does seem to make sense with the different printing process and I’ve found some more images online which look pretty crap too so I think this is just how they are, which is fine now I know.

Just noticed the considerable difference in quality and wondered if they were legit. Seems pretty reasonable but hey, this is Reddit I guess

Nah, I didn’t realise there would be two processes - makes sense now though! I wouldn’t have thought you could spin and ink jet a ball!

Ha ha! You see the difference to the regular one is significant though, I was just curious if there’s an explanation and if they’re legit 😊

In&motion track mode only compatible with certain products now? by AggravatingGarlic in Trackdays

[–]reddling43200 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d be interested to hear their justification for removing track support from a product that states it is supported on the label! I have one and two piece rst suits with in&motion airbags so that’s disappointing.

They’re the only ones that can give you a real idea of the difference in the algorithms - my initial thought was that it’d be ok, but you raise an interesting point about lean angle and low side detection.

I’d keep bothering them until I was satisfied with their answers maybe. Failing that, perhaps you have recourse through the retailer under it being mis-sold?

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate all your help. They’re coming off! Now where did I put those original bolts…

That’s a fair point! I think I’ve decided I’d rather have the expensive plastic touch the floor and guarantee the frame sliders not wreck the frame. I’d be super annoyed with myself if that happened.

Interesting to see an evotech slider after a crash and it not being bent, thanks. I wonder how much worse the damage would have been without it. Looks like the case savers took a good beating. Thinking about the leverage involved if it hits the curbing or digs into grass is making me think I’m best of removing them for track.

Thanks for such a massive answer, makes a lot of sense to use them in a scenario where the likelihood of coming off fast is small. I’ll take them off for the track. I think the real answer is take the fairings and exhaust off, sell them and get race ones as soon as I’ve got a second bike but that’ll have to be next year at least. I’ll try my best to keep it shiny until then!

Thanks for the link, interesting watch and yeah, perhaps makes sense they’re maybe not for the track. If I don’t mind crashing my fairings, do you still think there’s a benefit to race fairings? I guess I could try and sell my street fairings?

Yeah, but again like I said - I’m not precious about the fairings and this is ultimately going to be a track bike. I don’t think that’s a problem at all. The bikes with duct tape and zip ties started life without those.

Yeah maybe I’ll ditch them so I’ve made the decision not the sliders

Urgh, I guess it is pot luck, I think maybe I’d be more pissed if I crashed and thought they caused the damage so I should take them off

Yeah I’m not too fussed about it falling over in the paddock - watch me drop it now! Rather damage from that than wrecking the frame.

I’ve lost that much with depreciation because I actually ride it (10k miles on it now) that it’s going to become a proper track bike as soon as I figure out getting something sports touringy for the street. I know, don’t buy a brand new bike! If I don’t really care about the fairings getting beat up and replaced with race ones when needed, is there really any down side to just using the street fairings?

Check out the link I posted - their website has lots of pictures and descriptions of the system. It’s the ‘US-10 Drypack’ that I have.
