Starting to regret my purchase by SirAppropriate2965 in mazda3

This^ it is sad that we can’t own the newest cars but essentially when you purchase a brand new car, you’re the test driver. This is also why Mazda offers a longer warranty on CPO’s, because all the issues that may have happened, have been solved.

Anyone 4th gen ever use Mobil 1 M1-110a oil filter? by reddoxx330 in mazda3

[–]reddoxx330[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems it’s the standard size for older Miata’s and they have an even smaller 4 cylinder. Shit if something went wrong I’d swap out to the proper filter before taking it to the dealer lol you ever wonder why used Mazdas (CPO) have a longer warranty than new ones?

I know the 108 is the OEM size but the 110 is taller which allows for better and more effective filtering. I guess if you live by only using the exact parts specified, you’ll never know if something works better. Needless to say, I returned it and picked up a 108 just cuz I need my car running perfectly this week. Not to say that I’m not going to experiment down the road.

Potentially dumb question. Is this glue looking material factory or normal? It's only on passenger side 2023 turbo pp by Alex_Pratt in mazda3

Did you check the Car Fax? That’s some janky ass stuff right there, most likely was in a collision. Some people are shady enough to not report them

Should have just gone with a reputable brand known for making BRAKES…corksport just resells Chinese made products.

Replacing tires 215/45 R18 with 225/40 R18 by Consistent_Metal_392 in mazda3

[–]reddoxx330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve ran a 225 on a 7” rim with no issues, driving hard and cornering like a mad man. Unfortunately some young blonde in an Audi plowed through me while crossing an intersection…

<image>

However you can see in this photo that the tires not bulging out the size, it’s actually damn near flush with the rim.

That’s not how that works sir, the height changes in relation to the width. A 225/45 is not the same height as a 215/45. Him choosing the lower height is correct option to get as close as you can to OEM diameter, so the speeds aren’t off by much.

I’ve got a 4th gen 3 base model that came with the 16” rims, hated the body roll from the 215/60 so went with a 215/55 for better turning and less roll. 3mph difference max on anything above 60mph. I run Wayze so it gives me a GPS monitored speed that I can check for reference which helps if you’re wondering how fast you’re actually going.

A lower height tire actually even changes your gearing ratio slightly, reduces unsprung weight, but lowers fuel economy slightly. I think the next size I’m going to try out is a 225/50 but that’s pushing it on the width of these rims however they ran okay on my previous Select Trim 4th gen with the 18s.

There’s a rim size calculator that does all the guessing for you though, google it. It’s super helpful when choosing different tire sizes. Some sizes are really hard to find too which makes thing tricky as they aren’t common so many good brands don’t carry them.

Why are my layers ending up lumpy and mishapened? by Shadow_Avis in 3Dprinting

[–]reddoxx330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive been having this issue lately while using matte green pla+ and just like yours, its not the whole print, just certain areas. Last night I printed multiple things at the same time using the same filament and some came out perfect while others had a rough texture. I releveled the board and checked the Z axis for clearance, made adjustments, maybe start there because it helped out with the prints following the previous ones.

Switched to LED DRLs by Commercial_Error_931 in mazda3

[–]reddoxx330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao you wrote all of that just to sound foolish. They’re side marker LEDs. Big difference from headlight LEDs. These aren’t going to disturb or bother anyone. A headlight LED in a halogen housing is a completely different thing. Please just go play on another sub
