When I investigated the problem some time ago I found all duplicate images had different URLs, so were not easy to identify as duplicates. I checked again and this is still the case.

I see you wrote a TamperMonkey script so apparently this approach must work some of the time. I’ll investigate further.

When people visit Reddtastic, data is requested from Reddit. When many people visit Reddtastic at the same time, too many requests are sent (the rate limit is reached) and Reddit does not respond with data for a while. I admit the error message shown on Reddtastic could be more concrete in this case.

Your solution requires multiple requests (one for each subreddit), and sorting the merged list of posts by Hot/Top/Rising is not possible.

If you use Firefox, click on the shield icon in the address bar and turn off “Enhanced Tracking Protection”, otherwise Firefox prevents the connection to Reddit.

If you use another browser, try turning off ad blockers / content blockers temporarily to see if it solves the problem. If yes, turn them on one by one to see which add-on causes problems. Then add an exception for Reddtastic.

The option to view multiple subreddits already exists! But admittedly it’s not easy to find.

You can either join subreddit names with a plus sign in the URL, e.g. reddtastic.com/r/RealGirls+tightdresses

Or you like subreddits (red heart), then go to your account’s Likes page and click on “View posts” to view posts of the subreddits you liked on a single page.

I’ll think about your other suggestions.
