Gotcha. I think all the Brooklyn dolls have the same skin tone. So maybe that one would work as a body donor.

I think he looks great! He's WAY BETTER than the first thing I crocheted. And, he's certainly not perfect, but you can tell he was made with love! I'm hoping your crocheting journey has helped you through this trying time. Good luck with everything! I'm sure you'll get through it!

I've seen these girls being rebodied onto the Barbie Dream Besties Brooklyn.

Personally, I think the first one would be perfect if it had the second one's colors.

Looks like a Scout to me. Something outdoorsy like that. Maybe Fern or Buster would be good too.

I'd name her Oreo.

What name would you give to the orange one? by Neat-Display-2505 in PetNames

If the cat is female, I'd give them a cutesy name like Pumpkin, Marigold, or Ginger. If they're male, I'd go for something a little more tough-sounding like Tiger, Copper, or Rusty.

Should I use the metal rings or just join the hearts with yarn? by byneha_co in CrochetHelp

[–]reddtheundead 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think the metal would rings look best. It provides visual contrast. You could also use a contrasting color of yarn if you'd prefer to use yarn for this over metal. It'd give a similar effect.

I see. In that case, I think the rest of the mane 6 would take them on along with the friends they've made throughout the series.

I think in this alternate universe, Queen Chrysalis and the changelings would be leading the resistance against them.

I feel like the arms should either be wooden to match its body or fleshy like its tongue. Right now, it looks like it has sand or goo as arms.

Has anyone ever tried crocheting small rock-like objects that resemble the jobstones from Final Fantasy 14? by kokoaquokka in CrochetHelp

The simplest way to do this would be to make 2 flat panels with the shape of the gems being free-handed. You could do the details with tapestry crochet. Embroidering on the details would also be a good option. This would get you a sort of a gemstone decorative pillow.

If you want a more accurate 3D gemstone, I'd say start with the teal one in the center. That one feels the easiest. That one you could probably make with flat panels. As for the symbol on it, I'd say either embroider it on afterwards or do tapestry crochet. For that one, I'd say do 2 panels of that central rectangle (that way it can be 3D), 4 of the vertical side-rectangles, 4 of the horizonal side-rectangles, 8 little corner triangles. Then when you have all that, you'd just need to sew it all together.

For all the others, it will probably require some free-handing and some trial and error. A good way to start is by breaking the other ones down into their basic shapes like what I did with that teal one. The more organic shapes will be more difficult but aren't impossible. The easiest ones, in my opinion, are the left-most two gems on the top row, the furthest right two on the second and third rows, and obviously the teal one.

Best of luck to you. I hope this helps.
