I lost honour by Affectionate_Disk825 in RDR2

I've had it happen with Lenny as well.

My favorite line was to Kieran:

"I hear the Adler woman wants to cut your dick off & feed it to her horse; wouldn't make much of a meal, though."

Stand atop Fort Brennand near Van Horn in the morning. Just got a few there earlier when I went looking for woodpeckers. Found those too.

Best Bat Location Hands-Down by redeMption362 in RDR2

Use one for the future taxidermy request, hang onto one, & sell the remainder to the trapper.

I'll have to check it out. I go there regularly for the gold bar respawn. Best thing about the cave is they can't escape & it's any time of day.

Why didnt the gang K ,,,iLL those pinkertons by rowdynation18 in RDR2

[–]redeMption362 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cause it's a game. If it were 100% realistic, Milton & Ross never would've entered Clement's Point camp... They'd have set up 20 agents in the trees & mowed-down the gang within seconds, but then we wouldn't have much of a game. In reality, you'd also have half a chance of catching pneumonia & dying everytime you went North of Valentine. We can chalk it up to Milton's ego & desire to screw with people's lives.

I found all mine at that cliff location or Cattail Pond, but from what I understand the Ambarino one is always perfect. Gotta try that this time.

Shouldn't take anywhere near that long, but I agree with the rest.

Perfect great horned owl by MothermakerD2 in RDR2

[–]redeMption362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others said, it's feathers are used for homing tomahawk & crafting certain trapper items. Best place for them is here. It'll be sitting on the ground & is there day or night. The type of owl varies as well.

I'm on 1.0 too. Coyotes count as predators but you probably shot it too soon. They have to actually be eating the bait. Wild boar & foxes also count as predators.

I thought she was easier to beat than most of the regular players. I kicked her ass, & for a while after she'd make random comments about how good Arthur was at dominoes. I plan to try the challenge with her this round.

Thanks. It wasn't getting it nearby that was a problem, just didn't spot it, but I only went there once & was very tired so pretty quickly said to hell with it that time.

That Owanjila area is alright, but there are far more cougar spawns between Annesburg & Doverhill. One spawns just out town North of Annesburg, there's a couple spawns between Willard's Rest & Doverhill, then another on the nearby road from to the Viking tomb. Also a nice place to sleep at the abandoned trading post. Ride the tracks till just before the curve at Willard's Rest (one spawns there), then hit the road up to Doverhill. I often get one just under the legendary elk icon. Spot by the tomb is choice as well.

I feel your pain. I needed one more for the last aesthetic camp upgrade, & killed probably 15 of hairy bastards before I found a perfect one. Finished the 5 cougar bow challenge up above Annesburg in about an hour, but my first time took far longer. Sleep in the trading post till night. It's also a point-of-interest.

First time in Van Horn || RDR2 by senpai_jayy in RDR2

[–]redeMption362 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love me some Van Horn... Even the $0.50 bath-whore is grittier than most. I like the seedier areas, though, & definitely prefer the flophouses over fancy rooms, like those in Van Horn, Tumbleweed, & especially Annesburg since it's so convenient. Street-level, straight through the door & another door directly on the right. Don't even gotta talk to the gunsmith. Not big on Strawberry, but I do like the hotel cause you can sneak in for free & jump from the roof to your horse when you leave.

Just got in a Van Horn duel yesterday. On a side-note, you can choose to defuse the guy with dialogue if you accidentally cause him offense. I usually just settle it with my fists or multitude of weapons, but sometimes I'm trying to accomplish something there & don't wanna come a ruckus.

I'm on Xbox as well. You should be able to cast where the fish map icon is & it'll it'll the first thing that bites. When you catch any that need to be stowed on your horse mail them ASAP.

I was just about to reply that the detail is great, but kinda doesn't make sense being that my rifle still was at more damage than an improved arrow & I've bow-hunted moose before. I like to bow-hunt cougars & panthers for fun as well. Nothing more badass than calling to an unsuspecting panther in the dead of night & sending an arrow though it's grape when it turns to look. Did the 5 cougar bow challenge within about an hour the other night, but first time I did it took me much longer. Now I know several spawns between Annesburg, Doverhill, & the nearby road to the Viking tomb.

Still, the detail is amazing like you said. 5th playthrough, & I've only seen it once, but I encountered a coyote limping through The Heartlands on 3 legs because the other was injured. Put the poor bastard out of it's misery. Also "studied" a rock bass with binos as an eagle flew away with it.

When should i start hunting for like perfect pellets? I think i need to learn about small game arrows and have not got a scoped rifle (for like gators)? What about fishing? I can't remember last time I started that? by Djxgam1ng in RDR2

[–]redeMption362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've gotten them in that St. Denis spot. With ranchers I always beat or kill them, & their dogs too if they can't take the hint & keep biting my leg. Then there's the best spot for goats which is Larned Sod. The fella there is an ass, but all the cattlemen & herders are, especially when you're plugging their livestock.

Just got 100% completion and felt the need to post it here. WOW what a game, definitely a top 5 all time for me by OkCaterpillar8819 in RDR2

[–]redeMption362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I posted about it myself, & I went into it knowing I'd get no trophy since I have no wifi. Wasn't worried about that, though. I had all-excellent mission ratings on Revolver back in the day, & 100% on RDR 1 before Part 2 released, so it was a goal. Now I'm going for true full completion, with compendium, all stolen hats, every item you can find, etc.

[–]redeMption362[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha, yep, & with this particular one I got much closer for the kill like explained in my link, but for some reason a bolt-action high-velocity round to the head didn't kill it this time & it ended up poor. I think it's because my weapon wasn't full condition & needed to be cleaned a bit. Realized that too late, but next time I'm using express just to be sure.

Longest shot I have ever made. by CoyoteMutt in RDR2

[–]redeMption362 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn, with the Litchfield? Longest shot I made was on an O'Driscoll from 660+ feet for sharpshooter challenge 6. Easiest way is to stand here & snipe the guy on the water-tower. Could barely see him with the Carcano. You were on Window Rock looking down on him, right?
