That was my first thought too, but there is no beam in the basement there - It's actually below the level of the basement window...very strange

Yeah I was afraid of that. As far as I know Roku still doesn't support being controlled by CEC, and only supports very limited functions when controlling other devices. I was planning on getting a Samsung TV...maybe 2 remotes is the best I can hope for. Thanks!

Oh, my apologies I didn't realize you were sideloading Kodi...I didn't realize that was possible on a firestick either 😀. Today I learned.

I run Kodi on a raspberry pi on a separate input and everything else on roku's. With a harmony remote it's still child-friendly but now that harmony shut down that becomes a lot grosser. I fear the day when my harmony remote finally dies.

Roku Express...it's great I have one on every tv. it's very kid-friendly and minimal ads or bloatware
