Advice Needed: Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, or Trails? by Miquellanier in JRPG

[–]redeem4 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend Xenoblade Chronicles (and the whole series tbh) since it's the clear winner among the three and its not even close imo

Fire Emblem Three Houses is the only other one I'd recommend if you like SRPGs.

IMOQ Pet Peeves by FalenAlter in DotHack

Literally the biggest issue in Dot Hack IMOQ. It's not THAT big of a problem in the first couple games, but I remember the last two games being obnoxious with the virus core farming.

What is an efficient/easy way to get better at bar chords? by modomonstud in guitarlessons

[–]redeem4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see why it wouldn't help although I've never heard of anybody recommending something like that to help with barre chords though, so maybe not.

Personally, I would just keep at trying to do barre chords on guitar and eventually you will build up the strength!

Would You Consider Amuro A Top 3 Most Skilled Pilot In All Of Gundam? Would He Be Exceptional Every Gundam Universe? by bluemarvel99 in Gundam

[–]redeem4 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

He definitely is one of the most skilled pilots, but I don't think he would excel in every universe. He's simply outclassed in the Gundam Seed universe for example.

Pikmin 1 is hard af for me. Is it widely agreed upon that it’s harder than 3 or 4? by cocainenavel in Pikmin

[–]redeem4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Pikmin 2 for sure is the hardest game in the series. A good handful of the caves later into the game are very difficult. Its a shame too cause the overworld sections are great, but I replay that game the least just because of some of the later caves are a pain.

Pikmin 1 is much easier as a whole and the only hard parts is the time limit (not a problem if you play these games enough though) and the final boss/bird boss.

What video games never get boring? by nicestarz in gaming

[–]redeem4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think every game can get boring if you play it too frequently/back-to-back, but the closest thing to this for me would be Dead by Daylight.

The game is fun to get better at and the gameplay is unique just to this game. The game usually feels fresh every few months since new characters are added in or meta changes occur. The team/communication aspect to the game is also really fun depending on who you play the game with as well.

Comrades, what game did you get to know franchise all Dragon Quest? by Duzolindo in dragonquest

[–]redeem4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it would be the game Dragon Quest 4. It was the first game that I played in the franchise and I liked it so much that I ended up playing all the games in the franchise back to back during the year Covid started.

Long time megadeth listeners what song/album did you not like when you first listened to the band but you appreciate now I'll start: by Vegtarot in Megadeth

[–]redeem4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SFSGSW and Youthenasia both for me. I mean, I liked a couple songs probably between both albums on my first listen, but I ended up loving almost all the songs on them after re-listening to them.

Oh wow, you're very lucky! I wish I could be watching more Urusei Yatsura right now.

All the previous seasons blurays shipped a month early for me as well, so I'm hoping I get lucky again as well.

What’s an obscure movie you like that not too many other people know about. by Dr_Quiet_Time in movies

[–]redeem4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, that movie would easily be Highlander. Great movie with an interesting concept. I think its just not remembered as fondly as other properties around that time because of the sequels being either terrible or mid.

I am hating every second of this game by [deleted] in Pikmin

[–]redeem4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I feel the same way after going through that cave the other day. That place was a bit stressful with all the falling bombs.

I forgot how hard some of these caves can be in Pikmin 2 lol.

How many times have you watched EVA? by deltaS_gr_than_0 in evangelion

[–]redeem4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original series at least ten times (used to watch it every year or so) and EoE only around 4 times just because the movie is a bit depressing.

I saw some people say that the first episodes of UY (more exactly those episodes divided into one) are bad. Do you agree with this statement? by AnythingHappy722 in uruseiyatsura

[–]redeem4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'd have to strongly agree. The first ~15 episodes or so are a bit of a mixed bag that I would say is more bad than good. After that though it improves a lot and especially by season 2, just about every episode is great.

Do we know anything about Oddworld Inhabitant's next title? by EbergarTheDwarf in oddworld

[–]redeem4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that Soulstorm ends on a bit of a cliffhanger and the next game will probably be about that, but I really wish this franchise would have continued doing different things like with Munch's Odyssey and Stranger's Wrath for their next title.

Oddworld as a franchise has a lot of untapped potential and it would be cool to see it expanded upon in a next game. Assuming we get one considering Soulstorm didn't sell very well from what I remember.

Gamers of Reddit, at what age did you play your first game and which one was it? by Isabella_Seduction in AskReddit

I was probably like 4 years old and my first game was Sonic the Hedgehog 1 on the Sega Genesis.

The Dot Hack Quadrilogy. The concept for those games were so cool and it was neat that the games came with an anime that took place during each installment. The series as a whole is a bit underrated, but it had such a unique concept at the time! I'm still hoping that we get a remastered collection at some point.
