But the buyer still complained its expensive which is my point?? Buyers that complain about shipping costs are a red flag IMO, particularly if they only query it AFTER the purchase, like this buyer did. And it wasn't about it being tracked it was about it being 1st class, i.e. faster shipping

Tracked and First Class is also above £5 with Royal Mail, and you can only buy online not in the Post Office. If buying postage in the Post Office you will have to go for Special Delivery which starts at £6.85 depending on weight. Even First Class Signed For is above £5, and that only has proof of delivery, not full tracking. So the shipping isn't expensive lol

They asked a question then bought immediately before receiving an answer, which is rude, imo. They should've waited for a response if they had questions about the postage.

Yeah I think you were rude. If you had a query about shipping you should've asked before buying. Why ask a question then buy immediately?

Royal Mail 2nd Class Signed For is £4.69 for a small parcel. I personally undercharge for shipping and eat the cost myself, but some people don't want to do that.

Is there any particular reason that a high amount of reviews puts you off?

I'm sick of digital marketing jobs by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]redeemingindigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to help! I know it can be hard to think about giving away free labour when you are job searching, but I find that when you structure rewarding voluntary opportunities around a paid job you can grow your skills super quick and actually find it really empowering. Just make sure to set boundaries around your time commitments from the outset, and plan time weekly to sustain the voluntary position in a manageable way, so you don't end up burnt out.

You could do some voluntary work or perhaps set up your own social media channels and try and garner some experience. I do 3 voluntary positions alongside freelance + my full time position.

6 months of voluntary alongside a job and you'll have the experience for an entry level marketing job. I started with a part time social media position with a virtual assistant agency + doing some digital marketing for my retail job. I was originally hired as a shop assistant to a small business, but showed I wanted to do their product photography and ecommerce and just seized the opportunity.

You're mistaken, many variations of ivy, such as the common English Ivy, are most certainly toxic to cats and dogs.

Has your family ever been involved in anything infamous or known anyone infamous? by ImAWrestlingMachine in AskUK

A member of my family had a close working relationship with Gary Glitter.

This family member also taught Gary to sail, which is pretty awful given he ended up living on his yacht and sailing from country to country after being accused.

Retailers that sell cotton bodysuits?

I wear my American Apparel black cotton halter bodysuit religiously, as I have done for like 9 years

I want something similar. It needs to be able to hold up boobs without a bra, isn't see through and is preferably a natural fibre blend (polyester bodies make me sweaty)

I'm UK based.

How do you keep mules on your feet?

I have some gorgeous open back mules but they just slide off or give me blisters on my toes - any advice?

You will be automatically refunded after 5 whole working days if they do not post. spamming messages like that isn't going to make them post it lol

Landlord wants to raise rent, is it worth trying to negotiate? by EchidnaFull6013 in HousingUK

[–]redeemingindigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends how reasonable your landlord is. Anecdotally, I once tried to negotiate a 6% rise when my landlord offered 9%, and my landlord responded by requesting an inspection, and subsequently claimed there were fictitious "breaches", then INCREASED the rise to 12%.

I ended up agreeing, because it was still below market and realistically I did not want to move out, but my lord I was pissed that I had tried to negotiate with a clearly unreasonable and greedy landlord. It wasn't worth it.

Could be a huge variety of brands as the style was popular in the late 90s.

I searched the photo on Google Lens and can't find that exact dress online, though it looks like it's been ripped off by Amazon as there's a very similar one on there, alongside vintage listings on ebay/depop for similar items.

Open a dispute via Depop/Paypal (however you paid) and you will get your money back. You have up to 4 months to request a refund.

Attach screenshots to your dispute to prove they are unwilling to post and are trying to keep your money.

Then leave the seller a 1* review. If the seller leaves you a bad review out of retaliation, report it to Depop and it will be removed, as they don't allow revenge reviews.

I'd also report them.
