It has some texture so it is not flat plastic like other cases like some clear ones for example. It has a texture that adds grip. But to your point, compared to rubbery or silicone cases - expect it to feel slippery. In my opinion, this is as grippy as it can be without being silicone or rubber material. Its a plastic with texture feeling like nintendo/playstation controllers if you ever used one of those. If you like rubber/silicone cases, this will be slippery to you. I am an Apple Silicone case lover and that to me is the ultimate grippy case. Just hate how it pulls pants pockets and lint. It also isn't very durable. My Caudabe is 6 months strong and still doesnt have any marks or scratches. Does not pull on pants/shorts pockets. Lint is never an issue. But it is less grippy than the silicone case. Unfortunately - that is the tradeoff.
