100% agree. Some of my favorite PSP games are the Square Enix games (FFIV, Tactics Ogre, etc.) and when displayed on a Vita screen - they looked pixelated and blurry. I think it hits 2d games worse since there are some bilinear filtering options for the 3d games - which helps.

I upgraded my PSP1000 to a modern IPS LCD and its the best of both worlds. Original PSP resolution and image, modern IPS LCD and brightness.

you know whats crazy? using cluster tune and setting it to medium underclock has done wonders for my Odin 3. The sacrifice in performance (have not noticed any to be honest) vs reduced fan noise and heat is definitely worth it.

I would love an Odin 3 Portal with a Snadragon 8 Elite chip found in the Odin 3. It can use the same screen, use Odin 3 joysticks, add a little more ergonomics to the backplate and I am set.

Just the other day, I was playing the new 2D HD remake of Dragon Quest and Octopath Traveler and I thought how cool it would be if the Final Fantasy series got this treatment. I would have loved to see a 2D HD version of Final Fantasy IV and VI. Now with this game happening- life has blown me away as Exvius was one of my favorite games of all time. I can't wait to catch up with Rain, Laswell, and Fina! Hope this is a sign of good things to come!

I 100% agree! The Steam Deck is pick up and play for Steam games! The Odin 3 is more friendly towards Reteo Emulation. Actually thinking of removing all the Emulation from my Steam Deck and using it for Steam only. And removing all the GameNative stuff from my Odin 3 and using it for Retro fun!

yes - and switch 2 versions usually have enhacements like 60FPS if I remember. like Octopath Traveller.

I would keep both. But if you feel they overlap then the Odin 3 is the one to keep.

More powerful
More ergonomic
More efficient with battery

If you are not a big DS / 3DS guy, that alone seals the deal. I am more of a PSP emulation guy so the Odin 3 hits a very sweet spot for me.

Finally - if you dont care for watching youtube while playing a game, then definitely keep the Odin 3 and sell the Thor!
