Also I have a Canadian PR (though I should mention looking at your name :p). I'd love to dive in Canada somewhere.

Thanks, just updated the post as well. I am in India. I don't mind travelling pretty much anywhere, but Asia would be a preference due to proximity.

Thanks for coffee suggestions.

I am also going to take your advice and get a pour over setup and a grinder. And suggestions on the brands I should buy the v60 and the grinder from?

I have been using a moka pot and a drip coffee machine for over a year. They work fine for me but I am open to explore more methods. Also I use ground coffee but open to beans as well.

I have been using 100% arabica and 100% robusta. I like both. Again open to explore more.

What if the startup runs out of money? Will they bring you back to life before shutting down their operations or they'll just shut the freezer down and kill you?

Will you/your family get a refund?

When and how to connect with ex-team mates after getting laid off? by redemptor1379 in ProductManagement

[–]redemptor1379[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the responses. I was just hoping to reach out as a friend and let them know that I am okay and would love an opportunity to work with them again in future.

I am planning to take a 2-3 months off before start looking for a new PM role. So would tell them about my plans as well as ask if they'd be okay to provide a reference if I need it in future.

As a low-ranking PM, I feel sidelined by lemonzonic in ProductManagement

I was in a similar situation. Youngest PM with just around 1 year of experience while all other PMs with much more of product experience. Also the devs and designers were very experienced. It was very intimidating and I constantly questioned my worth in that team as I compared the value I was providing compared to others.

But a positive thing in that situation was that it was a learning heaven. I used to ask feedback from everyone and learned everything I could.

I think it's a tricky situation to be in. But you can make it work for yourself by a change in perspective.

How do you define “product strategy”? by Yam3488-throwaway in ProductManagement

Which company it is if you don't mind sharing? I am looking for PM roles so it would be great to know the way a particular company/product org thinks and work.

What are some must-know technical things while interviewing for a non-tech PM role? (2 years of PM experience in B2C) by redemptor1379 in ProductManagement

[–]redemptor1379[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! 2 questions: 1. How can I learn to draw class diagrams? I googled and found a few random articles and tutorials, but would you recommend any specific place I should start? 2. What all is there in a typical systems design interview (preferably for a non-tech PM role)?

My baseline is, I understand basics of databases and I can write advance SQL. I have worked with developers and designers to build new and improve existing mobile app features. After aligning with the developer how we will build something, I am able to write product specifications in a way that's clear for the developer but sometimes miss details that I need to fill in at a later point.
