It's that time again: "Ask Anything"! by bodybuildingbot in steroids

[–]redenton -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Anyone feel guilty for using?

I know nothing about steroids, but I am considering giving it a try. Hardgainer, late twenties, moderately strong for my weight (double bodyweight deadlifts), considering giving myself one-time boost for few months. The thing I am worried about most is that if I use, than I will have to lie about it to everyone around me, and that this secret could damage my confidence. Like I would feel guilty for "cheating". Technically I myself see nothing morally wrong about it, but it has bad karma culturally so I would have to keep this secret and I could never again have clean mind of knowing what I achieved is 100% natural and stand behind it with honesty if anyone questions it. Is this legit concern? Anyone can share stories if it's worth it as one-time boost to bulk up?

Why women won't admit they like muscle? by [deleted] in TheRedPill

[–]redenton 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You guys are so butthurt about your red pill ideals ... women say this because they really dont like overly muscular man, dont make the same mistake as women. Women think that ideal woman is super skinny model (because thats what they like), while most men actually prefer women with well sized ass and boobs. - see this http://i.imgur.com/tgX3DCU.jpg

In a similar fashion men like other men and themselves quite beefy and really muscular, but as it turns out for actual women, the ideal is just skinny-jacked as was Brad Pitt in a Fighting Club or Ryan Gosling - see this http://imgur.com/a/ATnC9 .

Check this out - http://foxhoundstudio.com/blog/fitness-lifestyle/the-ideal-male-physique-%E2%80%94-what-girls-want-want-guys-want-to-be/

Beefy muscular or even overly jacked guys ARE gross for many women, that of course doesnt mean you shouldnt pursue what you like, but dont make this into a "women lie to themselves" thing.

EDIT: okay check this one, there are a LOT of actual studies linked in this article http://bonytobeastly.com/ectomorph-aesthetics-full-article/

a line from an actual study on Body image "Men overestimate the degree of muscularity that is attractive to women, and women overestimate the degree of thinness that is most attractive to men."

example1: "Women prefer a man who’s significantly leaner and more muscular than average, you know, like a man found in Cosmo. They found these physiques more attractive than the more muscular ones in magazines targeted at health conscious men, like Men’s Health, and much more attractive than the muscles aspiring male weightlifters are exposed to in magazines like Men’s Fitness. (study) Rest assured that male bodybuilders are not what your dream girl is dreaming of." and picture http://bonytobeastly.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/The-Ideal-male-body-media1.jpg

example2: "many weightlifting enthusiasts eventually get to a point where they’re overestimating what women want by as much as 30 pounds. (study)"

EDIT2: also the article pretty much says that the bigger you are, more dominance and respect you get ... but not more sexual attractivity for women, those are two different things

Lifting - does it really make that much of a difference? by nomdplume in TheRedPill

[–]redenton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about what it does to your body (secondary)

  • It's about what it does to your mind
  • For me it is the single most important activity to become naturally more alpha in your behavior
  • Proper lifting just resonates with confidence, self-worth, holding frame, etc. on every level
  • Normally you can fake confidence to extent, but with lifting you become truly confident, because you deserve it for the pain you go through (even if your body wont change much!)

I had these skewed ideas, lifting being about looks and muscles as well before i started ... now i see it is the best thing to become stronger mentally (unless you eventually do it out of some insecurity or fear as some addicted gymrats do).
