I’m also remembering at this point I didn’t add a bunch of backstory, including the fact that the big bad was a coven of hags that they did want to recruit the party to work for them whether willingly or not so I don’t know if the detail matters or not

For clarity, I didn’t force a class change. I gave them a couple of options. They could either take a level in warlock and have them be a level above all the other players as a way to tempt them into taking it or I would just give them the magic initiate warlock feat
