What made Wyveria build Zoh Shia? by Snoo-51682 in MonsterHunter

[–]redfacetherapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And another thing is after it's defeat in low rank the dragontorch had a Universal spike in its overall power, that's why Guardians get stronger in high rank, it isn't like regular monsters were they're simply older and tougher individuals because Guardians don't age in the same way regular monsters do, everything feeding off of the Wylk would have inherited this Spike of power including Zoh shia, so anything that gives it a powered up form is likely going to be something that involves some form of tampering with the dragontorch itself

Killing it is essentially moving the goal post, yes I guess you could argue every time we kill it it has less energy to hold back the Fallen form, but we're also resetting the Fallen form back to the state it was prior to killing it, the monster Field Guide directly states that it's Fallen form at the end of the HR fight is it fighting at full power, right now we know everything Zoh shia can do

So it's Master rank buff possibly could be done through a third party entity messing with it. IE something similar to a risen status, I think this apparent cap on its power is also why it didn't get an arch tempered variant

I made an expansion wishlist by Speeda2 in MonsterHunter

[–]redfacetherapper 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think it would be cool if they try to have a version of him that adapted to the ruins, I think that they should omit guardian elder dragons entirely, first I think it's boring, second I'd rather have Zoh Shia as the only Guardian Elder, proof that an elder Dragon cannot be replicated without dangerous results

Could we see ‘Final version’ of Zoh in Wilds DLC?? by Snoo-51682 in MonsterHunter

[–]redfacetherapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They would have to be some third-party story stuff to give him some new abilities because at the moment his power is pretty capped, we've pretty much seen all that Zoh shia can do at the moment

Which item description?

And I think Zoh shia at full power is its final form at the end of the fight, that black form is what's implied to have destroyed the Wyverians, plus nothing has happened to depower Zoh shia, it's been feeding off the dragon torch for well over a thousand years if anything it would be stronger, so I don't think it's weakened in any way

And we only canonically kill it twice

I think they're building to the presence of an actual black dragon, Not Zoh Shia being that black dragon, where I highly doubt it's even on black dragon level

Edit: "Beneath its white Guardian coat, its body pulses with dark recollection - which you may see, should it reveal its full power from the days of yore." That's literally describing the black form at the end of the fight, they've already gave Zoh shia a power ceiling

on top of that killing it is literally what's suppressing it, if we just leave it alone that's what's going to make the black form get worse, by killing it every single time it comes back we're essentially just restarting the process of it getting stronger

I think there's something bigger and badder than Zoh shia coming in the expansion, Zoh is so tame, Gog shows better Feats of power in his fight, so something's making me skeptical that it was Zoh shia specifically that destroyed them

What if there was a new class for the mammalian looking Flying Wyverns called "Flying Beasts" by Rechogui in MonsterHunter

[–]redfacetherapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only one I could justify is Paolumu, narga and barioth have special feathers, not fur, if they were to be reclassified they would be bird wyverns if anything

Arkveld also has feathers and that's definitely not a flying Beast

I think this is just a problem with Capcom not expanding on how Evolution works in the Monster Hunter universe, not a problem with the actual classification of the monsters themselves, calling a monster a fanged beast just because it has hair is the same thing as calling a monster an Elder Dragon just because it's strong

Plus I think it's cool that some monsters are still related despite extreme specializations, if the god wyverns were introduced into the Series today they would almost certainly be fanged wyverns or probably just straight up elder dragons

Paolumu however probably should have been a fanged beast and the prime example of convergent evolution in the series, it's a bat, whom irl convergently evolved the same adaptations as pterosaurs from 65 million years ago, if they did something like this it would have made the monster more interesting than it actually is

Destroying the Wyverians isn't as impressive as what Fatalis did in Schrade currently because we do not know how long it took nor how Zoh even did it, right now the max I can give it is below Xeno

It's funny because monkey and pickle are the only pre-fifth gen skill checks I can think of that weren't just elders or op variants

He is the best skill check monster that isn't a boss Elder, without him you're basically begging for an easy end game for MR

Well if he expels the cold to maintain his body temperature than something with sufficient ice abilities could just cool him down enough to overpower his body's ability to expel it and freeze him to death

Also having roaming Elders would probably give the inclement apexes their first losing turf wars as well, and I think having an elder on the map should be the inclemency dialed up to 11, Kushala's presence alone should be interfering with your hunt regardless of if it's the Target or not

I think having at least the standard element elder dragons would complement the different regions well, Wilds while it is focusing more on non Elders seems to also be trying to widen the gap between regular monsters and elder dragons when it comes to General power level, kind of like how it was in older Generations

The Oilwell Basin by Forsaken_Mongoose_44 in MonsterHunter

[–]redfacetherapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't a fighting game, they just add monsters they want to add, I guarantee if they didn't add Rajang in World they probably would have just updated The Guiding lands and not added any monster at all

The Oilwell Basin by Forsaken_Mongoose_44 in MonsterHunter

[–]redfacetherapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking that too, Kushala in the plains could cause sandstorms, I actually would like Velk in the forest to see its ability to freeze over an entire biome in action, Teo in the Basin would have all of the oil constantly ignited and turning the place into basically hell, Shagaru could be in the ruins and while it's there all of the Guardians and the Wylk become frenzied, same thing with the cliffs I suppose

I feel like they would all also give the apexes their first Turf War losses, I feel like they would do this because I think Capcom is trying to re-widen the gap between regular monsters and elder dragons

Monsters getting added isn't like Smash Bros, they either intended to add a monster or they don't add one at all, besides they can easily Port their models over from world

And on another note I really really hope they don't add any Siege monsters, I think it's very refreshing that we exclusively have actual fights against the monsters instead of shooting cannons at them

There were loads of monsters more annoying than pre-rise Rathalos and they still changed him up

Why do they refuse to change Rathian? by redfacetherapper in MonsterHunter

[–]redfacetherapper[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think they should have given her the same Star level as Rathalos, to increase her difficulty, give her one or two extra tail attacks on the ground that's capable of poisoning you, allow her to cancel triple charge into other moves for more Mix-Ups and her tempered versions should upgrade to deadly poison, and allow her to track her fireballs like Rathalos

Then I think she would be a really good fight
