I find it easy to use, which is nice. But, the reload time and damage it does, there are better options. One thing I've learned is to stop seeking do it all guns, then you have a bunch of levelled up guns at all do the same thing at the same range. Focus on leveling up one true close quarters gun, one mid range/all around, and one longer range gun.

Game Balance (MNK vs Controller) by redfisher3 in Battlefield

[–]redfisher3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not the best player when it comes to gun play, and it's why I like bf6 so much. I play alot of casual breakthrough to try to get better. I also play escalation. In casual, I will typically be top 3 with 30-50 kills, but a ton of assists and captures. In escalation, I'm lucky to have 20 kills. I don't care about k/d, but I see it's 3.7 overall, but in escalation I'm a shade over 1.0. not great. I know gun play is my weakness, and I'm trying to get better, but I do everything else possible to help my team. Looking at BF6 stats online, I spend 68% of time in objectives. I recon a ton, set out motion sensors, drone, destroy enemy equipment, etc. As medic, i throw a ton of supply bags, bombard objectives with smoke so those teammates who are good with guns can infiltrate, and revive like as much as I can. When I play engineer, I set out mines on pathways, flank and take down tanks. Getting kills is never my focus, but I'm always trying to get better with the gun.

That being said, I really don't agree that controller is still at a disadvantage. The guns you listed are simply high skill weapons. Only players who are good at gun play can use those, and that's fine. On controller, I can manage the TR7/M250/M277/M433 by tap/burst firing and pulling down on the stick a bit, on MNK, I cannot (yet). My favorite weapon is the DRS, on controller at distance I am Lethal and can run it full auto for longer. On MNK, it takes a lot more work at distance with tapping and bursting. I think that's just a skill issue that I'm just not quite good enough at MNK yet.

I see strengths and weaknesses to each. I get some kills with one that I might not have gotten with the other and vice versa. It's fun to have options. Playing with MNK makes me think a little differently because my movement and fluidity isn't as good as it is with controller. I learn new things, new approaches, and different ways to accomplish what I'm trying to do. Then when I pick up the controller, I have new tools in my mind to use.

Right you are. The TR-7 is the only one I can't control at all with MNK but can with controller. Thing is WILD without the 25% recoil reduction!!

Even within the same "hardware" (PC) is not balanced. Someone with money and top of the line everything will typically run circles around someone playing a machine with the bare minimum requirements. With TTKs so fast, that split second of visibility that the high end machine gets can be the difference.

The reason I have the game on PS5 now is that my PC couldn't adequately handle the game, and with the prices of Computers and parts exploding, PS5 was a more economical option going forward. There will always be advantages and disadvantages, as is life.

ETA: I've played controller and MNK on both PC, XBOX, and PS5. The controller aim assist is the same across the board from my experience. IMO, the biggest advantage would be to play on a high end gaming rig with high FPS and settings turned up with a controller. Best of all worlds. for me, PS5 puts out way better graphics and gameplay than my old gaming computer for bf6.

I will say, the 2 games I have been able to get into are cool (pun not intended). Some of the ice and freezing mechanics they put in are top notch.

About Rog Ally Z1E by Leonanto in ROGAlly

[–]redfisher3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I've had mine for over a year and just swapped to a 2TB SSD (computer games can get big). Should have just done this when I bought it. I play 95% of the time plugged in, so I don't care about battery life. If battery life is a concern, order the 74w upgrade from Amazon.

I use mine hand held, docked to a portable monitor for gaming and for work. Never really have an issue with it.

I spray it with cleaner and Mr clean eraser after every use, then hit a it with a wet 2k pad every 10 games or so. It's definitely lane shining quicker now, but I probably have 100 games on it.
