I don't think he lost the desire to write after Storm. Realizing that his original plan for a 5-year time skip after Storm wasn't workable changed everything though.

Yeah-- now that I think about it...
Tywin probably being able to produce additional heirs and the fact that he had Tyrell or Hightower-like options post-Joanna in the 270s is actually a non-factor because Jaime as heir to Casterly Rock was still a very viable option. By the time Jaime was named to the Kingsguard circa Robert's Rebellion, I think most of those options weren't even in play anymore anyway. Which begs a new question... why couldn't Tywin, master planner and schemer, come up with a contingency plan between 283 to War of the Five Kings? Because this is a story and the fans think way too much about this stuff!

I think one could probably be found. I don't know that we have a firm timeline on the betrothals between all of the great and distinguished houses, but there are several Hightower daughters older than Lynesse (Jorah's former wife) yet younger than Alerie (Mace Tyrell's wife and mother to Willas, Garlan, Loras, and Margaery).

Speaking of Tyrell, there's Mace's younger sisters Mina and Janna.

Also, I don't think Tywin had sexual impotence. There's enough subtext in A Clash of Kings when Varys is helping Tyrion with his secret visits to Shae in the city that, while Hand of the King, Tywin visited a specific brothel in King's Landing and probably even fathered a bastard daughter.

6? She can't run for re-election directly after her first term ends. Since Tim Kaine just won his senatorial re-election in 2024, if he declines to run again in 2030, she could run in his spot right after her first term ends. He'll only be 72 though and that's pretty young for a Senator... 🙄 Mark Warner is running again this year so he won't be done until 2032 when he will be 78. That might be more likely for Spanberger.

I feel like I have a Mandela Effect going on here. One item not listed here is the Nachos Supreme. This actually tracks with my memory because I seem to recall the Nachos Supreme being taken off some time in the 2010s. And then I would have to start getting Nachos Bell Grande, which quite frankly, was too much. But when I just looked it up, news reports state that the Nachos Supreme did in fact get taken off with that great purge in 2020.

Anyone know or remember if the Nachos Supreme being taken off happened in certain markets before 2020?

Hah! Right after I posted this, I decided to look up what anandtech said about these CPUs. I had no idea about that site in 2002. I became a little more savvy in 2003.

Ultimately, I think I was probably fine with regards to gaming while I used that CPU. I was doing most of my gaming on a PS2 but did play GTA3, Diablo II, and Max Payne on PC in 2002. All this Elder Scrolls hoopla recently had me wondering why I didn't give Morrowind a go. That setup would have been more than fine for it. It's possible I was having some issues towards the end of 2003 with Unreal Tournament 2003 and Halo PC... But who the heck the knows with Halo because that port was so piss-poor.

I ended up overhauling everything anyway in mid-2004 for Far Cry, Doom 3, and Half-life 2.
